GM Barcelona is the evolution of the 360 RV and AR festival, the first Virtual Reality film festival to be held in Spain. On September 27th, 28th and 29th 2023, it will celebrate its 7th edition where the quality and innovation of national and international virtual reality short films will be awarded.

The contest is organised by Mecal, that organises the Mecal Pro, the Barcelona International Short and Animation Film Festival.

The Asociación Cultural sad Hill convene, within the Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes (Burgos), the contest of short films SECTION WESTERN (VII Edition- 2024).

The SECCIÓN WESTERN continues to be a parallel section of the Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes, although the screenings of the selected short films and the Awards Gala will take place outside the official dates of the Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes.

This decision has been made with the intention of being able to dedicate the time, which due to the characteristics of the genre it addresses, we believe is necessary for the exhibition of the participating projects.

The idea of this section is to pay homage to the western in general and to present a genre that continues to live today.

Kinam, Festival Internacional de Cine Diferente surge en México en el año del 2020 de manera independiente con la intención de exhibir y proyectar nuevas narrativas del cine contemporáneo nacional e internacional.

​Nuestra intención principal es mostrar películas y trabajos audiovisuales que rompan los esquemas de la narrativa tradicional a través de la innovación estética y discursiva. Factores que sin duda logran hacernos imaginar un campo expandido en el cine para encontrar una expresión auténtica y profunda impregnada de creatividad.

​Kinam es una palabra Náhuatl que se estructura a partir de la raíz Kin, la cual significa poder y a su vez forma los términos Kinatia y Kinamiktli los cuales hacen alusión a los conceptos, encuadrado y armonizado. La forma abreviada Kinam daba nombre a los kiname toltecas quienes poseían un enorme sentido espiritual.

​De esta manera Kinam, Festival Internacional de Cine Diferente evoca la fuerza trascendental de la imagen en movimiento para descubrir formas, ritmos, lenguajes, texturas y aproximaciones a la realidad desde el ángulo potente de la imaginación.
​Creemos que los géneros cinematográficos son parte de un todo, por lo cual consideramos que nuestra categoría es híbrida y ante todo un territorio abierto para que todos los realizadores puedan mostrar sus creaciones siempre y cuando confronten las convenciones, así como las narrativas tradicionales con un alto grado de creatividad.

Nuestro festival convoca a cineastas, artistas audiovisuales, estudiantes y público en general a presentar cortos, medios y largometrajes que propongan narrativas innovadoras a través de técnicas mixtas e híbridas y una inmensa libertad creativa que se aleje de las convenciones y lenguajes tradicionales.

Ante la situación de COVID 19 nuestro festival se apegará a las normas sanitarias en México, por lo que nuestras exhibiciones podrán ser virtuales o presenciales dependiendo del contexto en el que nos encontremos.

We, the “UP INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL” are going to present the art, culture, traditions and the places of tourism interest in the U.P. to the World community through the organization of a 3-days International Film Festival in Varanasi (Kaashi).

A number of people have dedication and passion to produce feature and short films but because of the scarcity of funds and resources, they are unable to find any platform to display their feature and short films. We, the ‘UP International Film Festival’ are going to provide them an International platform to present their unique works to the Global audiences. The “UP International Film Festival” is being organised at Varanasi in India during the dates 15-12-2021 to 17-12-2021.

Once the Film Festival is over, we are going to host one days visit of all the National/International attendees of this Film Festival to Lord Shiva (Kaashi Vishwanath) Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple, Kaal Bhairav Temple, Sarnath Buddha Temple, special Ganga Aarti, Vindhyachal Temple and Prayagraj Sangam.

The Hope & Bridges Association is delighted to announce the call for entries for the second edition of the Kreyol International Film Festival (KIFF), which will take place from September 26 to 30, 2024, in Paris. This unique and generalist festival celebrates and highlights the cultures, histories, philosophies, and environments of the Creole worlds, offering an international stage for cinematic works of exceptional richness and diversity.

Who can participate?

The Kreyol International Film Festival is open to all filmmakers, regardless of origin or nationality, whether they are Creole speakers or not. Your film is welcome if it explores, directly or metaphorically, themes related to the Creole Worlds and reflects the authenticity and depth of these cultures. Our festival provides an international stage to showcase diverse talents and unique perspectives. Whether you are an established or emerging director, we invite you to share your vision and voice through your art.

Locations and perspectives

We warmly welcome films shot in any region of the world, but particular attention will be given to works produced and filmed in Creole-speaking regions. Whether your films are rooted in traditional narratives or explore contemporary or dystopian perspectives, your contribution is vital to enrich the dialogue and understanding of Creole cultures.

Diversity of characters

We also encourage the participation of films where the main and secondary characters are of Creole origin, thus highlighting the diversity of the communities.

A stage for Creole voices and beyond

The Kreyol International Film Festival celebrates the global reach of Creole cultures and its 127 Creole languages of various lexical bases (French, English, Portuguese, Dutch, etc.). Particular attention will be given to films in original Creole language – with subtitles – but this is not an exclusive condition. All languages are welcome.

13th İnönü University International Short Film Festival Applications Started
Organized by İnönü University Faculty of Communication and Cinema Group, there is a short time left until the start of the İnönü University International Short Film Festival, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Cinema.

The festival, which will be held for the 13th time this year, will be held between 26-28 October 2021.
Aiming to support young filmmakers and contribute to the cinema culture, the festival will offer a total of 20 thousand TL cash prizes in national and international documentary and fictional film competitions. In the national category, a monetary award of 5 thousand Turkish Liras will be given to the first work, 3 thousand Turkish Liras for the second, and 2 thousand Turkish Liras for the third.
Also, one of the founders of İnönü University Short Film Festival, who passed away on August 19, 2021, Prof. Dr. Kadir Beycioğlu Special Award will be given in memory of Kadir Beycioğlu.

T.C. Those who want to participate in the festival, which is also supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, can apply until October 15, 2021.

We are seeking shorts, long shorts and features in documentary, animation, live action and narrative films up to 150 mins there are no restrictions on when or where the film was made as long as the film itself can be classified into a general audience rating.
