The D'A - Barcelona Film Festival is a competitive film festival that offers an extensive review of current world cinema, screening an international panorama of the finest contemporary auteur cinema, combining the discovery of emerging new talents and cinematographies with internationally established directors and films.
The 13th Barcelona Film Festival will run from March 23rd to April 2nd, 2023.
Cartoon Club – International Festival of Animation Cinema, Comics and Games, now at its 40th edition, is one of the best known festivals on the Italian scene.
It is a remarkable window for animation works, short films in particular – fiction, educational, experimental, computer graphic – and with a whole section solely dedicated to comics: Riminicomix.
The Festival features SHORT ANIMATED FILMS in various sections:
CARTOON CLUB AWARD, open to short animated films made by professional filmmakers and production companies.
SIGNOR ROSSI AWARD, open to animated films made by secondary school and university students, and by the students of animation film schools.
CARTOON KIDS AWARD, among the titles submitted to either Cartoon Club Award or to Signor Rossi Award, the Festival direction will select, at their own discretion, some short animated films aimed at a children’s audience. An all-children’s jury will select the winner among these films.
INTERNATIONAL PANORAMA, a non-competitive section open to European and non-European animated short films.
CARTOON JUNIOR AWARD, open to short animated films realized within workshops for children, in Italy or abroad.

The festival takes place in Rimini in various locations, from downtown to the beach, in the month of July.
The 53rd edition of the Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival, one of the biggest film festivals for young filmmakers in Europe, will take place from 25th April to 28th April 2024 in Potsdam. It offers up-and-coming filmmakers from all over the world a platform to present their works to a broad audience and come into contact with the industry. Founded in the 1970s as a showcase for young filmmakers in the GDR, Sehsüchte has established itself over the decades as an internationally important festival and has become an integral part of the Berlin and Brandenburg cultural landscape.
Sehsüchte sees itself as a place of encounter and creativity, as an event of cultural diversity and a celebration of cinema, today as well as tomorrow. The festival is planned, organized and implemented entirely by students of the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. The direct connection to the renowned film university enables a unique exchange between young talents, media practice and academia.

The 11th RESISTENCIA FILM FEST, is an international film festival, not competitive, created to disseminate films that promote the rescue of historical memory, the fight for freedom and the defense of human rights.
The exhibits of the participating films in the eleventh version of the festival will be given in 3 modalities: in the Centro Cultural Tomé, in the TV program, "Películas de bolsillo" and in a traveling museum.

Director Memi Spyratou, who inspired and established the International Archaeological Film Festival- AGON, and Dimitris Komninos, Art Director of the urban non-profit company “Odyssey – Cultural Events”, in collaboration with the Hellenic Film Archive and the Hellenic Department of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), announce the 11th International Archaeological Film Festival – AGON, under the thematic title “Ecumenical Community“.
The thematic of the festival is archeology in the broad sense of the word: Antiquity, Middle Ages, folk arts, traditions, industrial archeology, cultural heritage, the recording of every world that is by norm getting lost, in other words, the today that becomes the archeology of tomorrow, bringing in contact people, not only from Greece but also from all over the world, people-dreamers of a better life.

The new season of WISFFF opens officially on the 5th November, 2022 ("fireworks night" in the UK). The festival is actually open to test and soft launch from October, 2023. You can enter from that date if you wish. Screening will be a big screen in London in November 2023.
During 2020, 2021, and 2022 - The Wild Indie Sci-Fi and Fantasy Film Festival was hosted at the same venue, Greenwich IMAX Odeon Theatre in London on it's lovely big screens. And… “Oh My Word the films look amazing in there!!”. We have had an awesome and ever growing selection of films at the screening, with many more films on the online version of the festival. The online festival site for 2022 ran until November 2022. There are some photos of the screening event on here.
There are a number of challenges, awards and prizes for Micro (2min), Mini (10min), and Short (25min) film categories within the genre.

Bašta Fest is an international short fiction film festival held in Bajina Bašta, Western Serbia. It is an annual event that is taking place during the first weekend of July and it lasts for four days. Due to the profession of the founders (actors Jovan Jelisavčić and Maja Šuša), the festival's main point of interest is a collaboration between directors and actors. We believe that focusing on the quality of that joint artistic effort will have a positive impact on the positioning of Bašta Fest among short film festivals. Bašta Fest is of great importance for the decentralization of culture since it has brought diverse film, music and off program to this beautiful region. One of the priorities of the festival is to promote the incredible natural beauty to a large number of visitors. Nevertheless, our primary goal is to convert this festival into an exciting cultural oasis, which supports local and international young artists, putting emphasis on short fiction films with authenticity. The main selection is a competition short film program, while two films are screened as a part of non-competition, special program every year - one during the opening and one during the closing ceremony. The last to be screened is a Serbian debut feature film, chosen by Bašta fest team as the most successful one in the previous year. The entrance to all screenings at Bašta is free of charge, while they are always being held under the open night skies. There are currently two official festival locations: Borići park and lake Perućac.

It was with ambrosia Hera "cleansed all defilement from her lovely flesh", and with ambrosia Athena prepared Penelope in her sleep, so that when she appeared for the final time before her suitors, the effects of years had been stripped away, and they were inflamed with passion at the sight of her.
The consumption of ambrosia was typically reserved for divine beings. In the Odyssey and the Iliad, Homer uses the word ambrosia for three things: the food of the Olympians, a salve used to treat corpses, and as a perfume to cover up the smell of uncured seal skins. Regardless of all this confusion, the word is now used metaphorically to mean anything so fragrant, so delicious that it seems divine "delightful food and drink".

De um cenário de incertezas e desequilíbrio no qual estamos, de um momento em que começamos a vislumbrar um possível (e cuidadoso!) retorno a esse mundo que já não é mais o mesmo, interessa a esta edição da Mostra Wallace as histórias de sobrevivências, os recomeços e reinvenções e as estratégias de luta frente ao desmonte.
Estaremos atentes às diversidades, aos processos de coletivos e a elaboração comunitária. This cultural proposal takes place within the framework of the commemoration of a new anniversary of Punta del Este, celebrating the best independent cinema from around the world. It began as a Mercosur cinema and grew to become an international festival. Cine del Mar has been declared of Presidential Interest and is sponsored and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, the Municipality of Maldonado, the Municipality of Punta del Este, the Ministry of Education and Culture through ACAU (Uruguayan Film and Audiovisual Association), and the embassies of the participating countries.
