El festival de animación Nochedemonos fundado el año 2006, es un referente para la comunidad académica y profesional de la animación nacional. En esta edición cumplimos 13 años, difundiendo la animación latinoamericana para el resto del mundo.
Durante sus nueve versiones se han realizado competencias nacionales, latinoamericanas, estudiantiles, homenajes a animadores destacados, charlas de invitados nacionales e internacionales y talleres dirigidos a estudiantes y entusiastas de la animación.
Esta versión tendrá dos competencias, la competencia latinoamericana de monometrajes y competencia universitaria de cortometrajes latinoamericanos de animación.

By establishing this festival, we hope to exhibit the winning international documentary films to the Indonesian and international audience, bolster filmmakers’ assurance to give their best for the film industry, and prevail the film industry internationally.

AFIRMANDO LOS DERECHOS DE LAS MUJERES es un proyecto que surge de la mano de Festival de Málaga, Mabel Lozano (documentalista y colaboradora del Festival), y el Área de Igualdad de Oportunidades del Ayuntamiento de Málaga como herramienta de protesta. Este espacio se crea con el fin de explorar y tratar cada año temas que contribuyan a la concienciación social de los derechos de las mujeres.
Esta sección de Festival de Málaga nace en el año 2008, siendo esta su 19ª edición. El proyecto se concibe con una doble finalidad: informar de las injusticias que todavía en este siglo siguen sufriendo las mujeres por el mero hecho de ser mujeres, y fomentar y apoyar el trabajo cinematográfico creado por mujeres.
En Afirmando los Derechos de las Mujeres hemos podido visibilizar realidades de mujeres en diferentes países del mundo y comprobar cómo, aún hoy, existen numerosos lugares donde la lucha por la vida supone un objetivo diario de muchas mujeres y niñas. Donde las tradiciones y pautas culturales impiden la realización personal y social en igualdad de derecho a las niñas y mujeres respecto a sus congéneres masculinos, etc.

El 8º Festival de Cortometrajes de la «Côte Bleue» (FCMCB) es un festival para jóvenes directores de cine de hasta 30 años de edad. Nos comprometemos a mostrar las obras de cineastas emergentes y ayudarles a distribuir y promocionar sus cortometrajes. El concurso está abierto a jóvenes de todo el mundo.
Fantàstik Granollers es el festival de cine fantástico y de terror de Granollers, que se celebra desde 2012. Se ha convertido en un evento único en la ciudad, en el que se ofrece una propuesta cultural relacionada exclusivamente con el cine fantástico y de terror y todo lo relacionado con él, apostando con mucha fuerza por los cortometrajes.
Es una excelente oportunidad para que los amantes del cine vean películas innovadoras, así como para conectarse con otras personas interesadas en este tema.
Además del festival, durante el año se llevan a cabo otras actividades relacionadas con la difusión del cine fantástico y de terror.
Este 2024, el Festival Internacional de Cine de Iquique (Ficiqq) celebrará 15 años. Ficiqq es un certamen único en la región de Tarapacá que en esta ocasión es financiado por el Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual 2024, y cuenta con el auspicio de SQM Yodo Nutrición Vegetal junto a la producción de Volcánica Films.
ESPIELLO, FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE DOCUMENTAL ETNOGRÁFICO está organizada por el Servicio de Cultura de la Comarca de Sobrarbe (una institución que agrupa a 19 ayuntamientos) junto a una amplia participación de vecinos y vecinas de la zona que forman la Comisión Permanente del festival. Se celebra durante el mes de marzo y abril en Boltaña, una pequeña población del Pirineo de Huesca (España/Spain).
Se trata del único festival con esta especialización en el país. Consta de un concurso internacional de documental etnográfico y de diferentes secciones fuera de concurso y actividades paralelas donde se abordan temas más amplios relacionados con el documental y la antropología visual.

La producción y desarrollo en Chile lo realiza el equipo de SurDocs, quienes durante 12 años realizaron un festival de cine documental en Puerto Varas.
