The passion and commitment that each Filmmaker and writer puts into his or her work is both noble and unique, to say the least, and deserves to be acknowledged. As not only the cornerstone of our mission, but as the foundation of our belief system and morals, we seek out, acknowledge, and award the innumerable talented independent Filmmakers who otherwise might not get the recognition they richly deserve.
For a quarter of a century the Great Lakes International Film Festival strives to serve the interests and needs of Independent Filmmakers worldwide by connecting artists with audiences, exhibiting and promoting new films and filmmaking talent, as well as nurturing a creative independent film community worldwide.
In addition to being one of the most dynamic festivals, one of the most popular attractions that the Great Lakes International Film Festival offers to Filmmakers is our home, Erie Pennsylvania. As one of the most unique communities, Erie proffers an amazing landscape that is as diverse as the people that make up its City.
Seated on the shores of Lake Erie, the beautiful Presque Isle State Park is a peninsula with amazing beaches and trails that curve around Presque Isle Bay. This 3,112-acre park boasts 13 miles of roads, 21 miles of recreational trails, 13 beaches for swimming, a myriad of wildlife and a lovely marina.
Nearby, Waldameer Amusement Park & Water World has roller coasters and waterslides along with many other attractions to engage visiting Filmmakers and attendees alike. The Erie Maritime Museum traces the history of Lake Erie and is the homeport of the US Brig Niagara, a historic 19th-century ship.
Only a few blocks away the Erie Art Museum features a very impressive collection of 20th-century works, while a number of local playhouses deliver off-Broadway-style stage plays regularly.
Erie Pa also features a cornucopia of stunning historic architecture throughout, including the very impres-sive West Sixth Street Historic District, otherwise known as Millionaire's Row. Consisting of 117 beautiful buildings originally constructed in the Victorian era by lumber, banking, and Manufacturing barons such as Peter Herdic as their homes. Millionaire's Row now stands as a remarkable testament to an age long past.
In addition to awarding outstanding Filmmakers with Best of Genre Awards, our Festival offers an audience Choice Award to the Filmmaker whose film is the most popular with our attendees, and that receives the most attendee votes.
Since our inception, the Great Lakes International Film Festival has showcased more than 4,000 films, and has played host to countless celebrities and actors, and has amassed a formidable catalog of exceptionally high caliber Independent Films and career launches, with countless films that have gone on to be screened on the Sundance Channel, IFC, PBS and HBO along with so many more filmmakers who have received dis-tribution deals after screening in our festival.
While the success of the GLIFF has not come from an excess of big-name celebrities crowding its red car-pet, we feel that it instead is rooted in the much more important attention to detail that we offer, and most significantly, the very personal way in which we interact with each and every Filmmaker who has allowed us the honor of presenting their films over the past 25 years, doing our best to make each Filmmaker a part of our Festival family with ties that bind far beyond only one festival season.
Showcasing the best films of the 2026 season, the Great Lakes International Film Festival will be held LIVE in the great city of Erie, Pennsylvania starting on September 24, 2026, with our virtual screenings con-tinuing through October 10, 2026.
Though we have never focused on the big name Hollywood celebrities, still our Festival has played host to numerous special guests that include, writer, producer Bill Hinzman of Flesheaters and Night of the Living Dead; director Lloyd Kaufman of the Toxic Avenger films, Pot Zombies, and President of Troma Films; ac-tor Gunnar Hansen of Texas Chainsaw Massacre; actor and director Mark Borchardt of American Movie and Coven; Erick Rodgers (Writer of NYPD Blue); best-selling mystery author Jamian Snow (Shrouded Insani-ty); John Hancock (“Hill Street Blues”, “The Twilight Zone”, & California Dreaming); actress and “Scream Queen” Debbie Rochon (Blood Relic, Vampyre Tales, & Lord of the Undead); Bobby Logan (Meatballs 4 & Repossessed), along with so many more.
As one of the premier film festivals worldwide, the Great Lakes International Film Festival held its inaugural festival in the fall of 2002, welcoming internationally acclaimed celebrities like Dirk Benedict, best known for his work on Battlestar Galactica and A-Team, along with Hollywood script guru Harri James who worked as script supervisor for blockbuster films and TV Shows as ER, Alias, Tremors II: Aftershocks, and Tremors 4: The Legend Begins, to name only a few.
In that same year, B.J. and the Bear & Up in Smoke producer, Otto Felix visited the festival along with the renowned Keith Carradine being presented with a lifetime achievement award for his dedication and con-tributions to indie film.
Since that time, the Great Lakes International Film Festival has had many films go on to greatness like “The Derby Stallion” which was released through Echo Bridge Home Entertainment, a subsidiary of Disney, and Director Joel Miller’s film “The Still Life” that received distribution through Warner Home Video after having been screened at the festival.
As far back as 2004, the Great Lakes International Film Festival had the proud pleasure to present the North East United States Premiere of “SAW”, Lions Gate Films’ gripping psychological thriller starring Cary Elwes, Danny Glover, Monica Potter, and Leigh Whannel.
The legendary Terry Moore was our special guest of honor and was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her amazing accomplishments in film over the past 60 years, while international recording su-perstar Dizzy Reed of Guns ‘N Roses performed before a capacity crowd at our Film Festival.
Considered among the most popular film festivals in the world, the 25th annual Great Lakes International Film Festival genre categories for feature-length and short-length films are Narrative, Documentary, Expe-rimental, Religious/Spiritual, Animation, Comedy, Horror, with Horror sub-genres that include Supernatural, Thrillers, Wicken, Magical, Slashers, Science Fiction, Suspense, Horror Documentary, Horror Animation and all genres of Music Videos and GLBT films for the 2026 festival.

ENTRY FEE FOR SUBMISSIONS OF FILMS:
(1) Entry fees for FEATURE FILMS (Duration: 50 mins to 105 mins max) : 5000/- INR or (63.23 USD)
(2) Entry fees for SHORT FILMS (Duration: 00.10 mins to 00.50 mins): 3,000/- INR or (36.27 USD)
(3) ANIMATION FILMS in all categories (Duration: 00.05 mins to 00.30 mins max).
(4) Entry fees for STUDENT FILMS: 1500/-INR or (21USD)
(LATE ENTRY FEES WILL BE DOUBLE THE ENTRY FEES MENTIONED ABOVE APPLICABLE TO FILMS SUBMITTED BEYOND THE DEADLINE ANNOUNCED)
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
1.Films without English Subtitles (except English Films), shall not be considered for selection.
2.Films submitted with watermarks or logos shall be rejected.
3.Only Trailers or promos cannot be submitted for selection process.
4.Film Download link with password is preferred, DVD or Bluray are also accepted as hard copies.
5.If submitting hard copies, Two full HD DVDs/Bluray should be sent by courier to the Festival office along with a hard copy of this entry form duly filled. DVDs must be labeled with film title, director name, duration, phone number and email id on them. Director pic, Poster, Film Stills may be attached in an email.
6. For submissions coming from outside India, the packages must be marked, “For Festival & Cultural Purpose only, No Commercial value”.
7. DIFF does not pay screening fees to film makers.
8. DIFF will not return the Films submitted online or vide DVDs/Pen Drives/ Blu-ray etc. during or after the festival.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. DIFF reserves the right to showcase the film so submitted perpetually anywhere ( other festivals, television, online etc).
2. DIFF reserves the right to include the film and related material in its promotional activities.
3. All Decisions made by the Appointed “Selection Committee” regarding Selections, screenings, awards at the Festival in entirety will be final. In case of Dispute, decision of the President is final.
4. The film makers and their representatives undertake to use the official logo and the status of their Selection or Award strictly in conformation with DIFF 2022 designs and they further undertake to use such festival logo in all their promotions, posters and marketing publications with the consent of the festival.
5. A film selected for the festival does not run in competition automatically. A Jury will select the films which feature in Competition.
6. The Festival shall not bear / reimburse any freight or other charges in foreign or Indian currency.
7. Once selected for screening, the film shall not be withdrawn.
8. The last date of submissions of ENTRIES IS 10.12.2024 and Date of Intimation of Selection will be 15.12.2024
The Twin Tiers International Film Festival is dedicated to finding, promoting and encouraging new filmmakers to showcase their films and let their voices be heard. We will foster an engaging and inspiring atmosphere in an historic setting with small town flair.
We decided to create a festival where feature films would get the recognition they deserve. Too often, film festivals include features as one category, as such they all compete for the same award(s). It is about time to change course on this standard and recognize all the different genres of features so that certain genres will not be overlooked as sometimes they are. We know you have put so much hard work into creating your film and we want to recognize you!
Every film submitted to us will be viewed start to finish and graded by our judging panel of industry professionals. Our goal is to showcase as many films as possible across all film genres of any length. We have a big heart for local film and encourage local filmmakers to submit their work, regardless of experience. We also want to encourage international filmmakers to submit and visit the festival!
We know how hard the festival circuit can be. We are filmmakers ourselves. We want to invite you to our festival which is all about you, the filmmaker. Each filmmaker should feel that they and their work is of the upmost importance. At the festival, we will provide ample networking opportunities for our filmmakers. Submitted films must have been completed after 2017 and 2018 and they must also be Galician. This means they must have been either produced by companies or people from Galicia, directed by a Galician director.
Music videos must be Galician too. It means they must be either related to a song from a Galician musician or directed by a Galician author.
The Cisterna Film Festival is an international short film festival held annually in July in Cisterna di Latina, Italy. Over the years, the festival has established itself as a vibrant meeting point for contemporary short cinema, showcasing outstanding works by emerging and established filmmakers from around the world. The festival is organized by the cultural association MOBilitazioni Artistiche and promoted by Municipality of Cisterna di Latina, with artistic direction by Cristian Scardigno.
From 2015 to 2025, the Cisterna Film Festival presented a wide selection of national and international premieres, including films showcased at major festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Sundance, and Clermont-Ferrand, as well as award-winning works recognized by the most prestigious film honors, including the Academy Awards, David di Donatello Awards, César Awards, and Goya Awards.
Since 2017, the festival has featured a “Focus” section dedicated each year to a specific country, fostering cultural exchange and international dialogue through cinema. The section was inaugurated in 2017 with a focus on Poland, supported by the Polish Institute in Rome, followed in 2018 by Ireland, in collaboration with the Irish Film Festa and the Irish Embassy. In 2019, the festival turned its attention to Germany, with the support of German Films and the German Embassy in Rome, and in 2021 to Greece, in collaboration with the Drama International Short Film Festival, an Academy Award–qualifying festival.
In 2022, the Cisterna Film Festival presented a curated selection of short films from Croatia with the support of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre. In 2023, the festival hosted a focus on short films by Palestinian filmmakers, in collaboration with the Consulat Général de France à Jérusalem and the Palestinian Ministry of Culture. In 2025, the festival hosted a focus on Cuba, in collaboration with the Festival de Cine Ínstar in Havana.

Situato nel cuore della capitale iraniana, Teheran, il Fajr International Film Festival rende omaggio a film nazionali e internazionali di qualità. Si tratta di un evento che celebra lo scambio culturale, mostra i risultati creativi di cineasti e nuovi arrivati di grande fama, e mette in mostra film che promuovono il contributo artistico al medium. Inoltre, il festival presta particolare attenzione ai film che cercano giustizia e mettono in evidenza valori umani e morali.

Il TIFF mira a dimostrare una forte efficienza nello sviluppo del pubblico (soprattutto verso il pubblico giovane) implementando attività prima, durante e dopo l'evento, tra cui attività annuali e viaggi in altre città con diversi partner più piccoli e festival più piccoli nel paese. 4. SCENEGGIATURA CONTESTIFF
Consiste nell'applicazione di sceneggiature originali di cortometraggi animati e live-action e altre sceneggiature brevi di tutti i generi (max. 20 pagine).
Il suddetto concorso non mirava a valutare solo la migliore sceneggiatura, ma a valutare dai nostri partner, produttori e distributori, la sceneggiatura migliore e possibile da loro prodotta e con le maggiori possibilità di essere distribuita con successo nei più famosi festival internazionali di cortometraggi.
B. PROGRAMMA SPECIALE E PROIEZIONI
Oltre al programma del concorso, il TIFF riserva un ampio spazio ai programmi speciali e alle proiezioni.
1. FOCUS è un programma speciale, basato su un tributo o un omaggio all'autore cinematografico e/o alla filmografia di un determinato paese.
2. RetroSpectiff e TIFF Classics portano al nuovo pubblico i più importanti autori nazionali o internazionali della storia del cinema.
3. IMMAGINA LA TUA VITA, CREA IL FUTURO
Il TIFF continuerà ad avere un ampio spazio al programma speciale KiDS, un programma esclusivo per bambini dai 5 ai 15 anni di età media. Questa iniziativa si presenta come un investimento a lungo termine per aumentare ed educare il futuro pubblico cinematografico con film artistici attraverso progetti acquisiti in Europa creativa per la distribuzione e la promozione di film europei.
4. REFLECTING ALBANIA è il programma più antico del festival, dedicato ai registi stranieri che hanno prodotto i loro film in Albania o in territorio di lingua albanese. FestiffAl è un programma speciale con film selezionati dai partner del festival.

C. NUOVE FUNZIONALITÀ — PROIEZIONI PARALLELE
TIRANA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ha il piacere di annunciare quattro importanti servizi disponibili per i candidati. Dalla sua nascita nel 2003, il TIFF ha ricevuto oltre 40.000 cortometraggi e lungometraggi da oltre 120 paesi in tutto il mondo. Tra tutte queste candidature, più di 200 film possono essere scelti ogni anno per il programma del concorso. Con questi quattro nuovi servizi, il TIFF offre l'opportunità a molti film di essere proiettati in modi alternativi (TV, online, mercato, programmi speciali) presso un pubblico più ampio ed esperti.
I richiedenti devono opzionalmente presentare una domanda chiara per ciascuno di questi nuovi servizi.

Con i nostri media TV partner offriamo la possibilità ai registi di proiettare i loro film (selezionati per il programma ufficiale competitivo o meno) al pubblico albanese e vincere le giurie televisive e i premi del pubblico.
• TIFF in tour
Il TIFF fungerà da ambasciatore dei film presentati e viaggerà con una selezione in altre città albanesi nel corso dell'anno. Il TIFF proporrà anche proiezioni speciali ad altri festival regionali in base a un argomento o tema specifico di ciascun festival collaborativo.
• Libreria online TIFF
Il TIFF offre la presentazione online di ogni film, in una pagina dedicata, come parte di una cineteca, con tutte le informazioni correlate e con la possibilità di ricevere commenti dal pubblico internazionale di Internet e dall'industria. La proiezione dei film è aperta a chiunque senza costi aggiuntivi. I film saranno disponibili per la visione nella cineteca purché il regista/produttore lo desideri.
• Angolo del mercato TIFF
Il TIFF creerà un angolo di mercato, in cui i potenziali acquirenti potranno guardare tutti i film e fare la loro selezione. Il TIFF fungerà anche da promotore e distributore del festival. In caso di contratto finanziario con un distributore, il TIFF riceverà una commissione del 5%.
