“99.media is a carefully curated selection of documentaries from around the world swooping down into extraordinary lives.” — Rob Alderson, WePresent
99.media is a new kind of documentary film festival: both online and in real life.
It is a free and not-for-profit video platform streaming documentaries in 6 languages (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and Italian) + a series of live screenings in different cities where our languages are spoken.
Our objective is to democratize documentaries thanks to multilingualism and to help filmmakers get wider audiences and more impact.

"99.media has embarked on a beautiful campaign to share films with the world. Subtitling my film from Arabic and English into a half-dozen languages opens the door for cross-cultural impact in ways I’ve always dreamed about. Their initiative to share powerful works of art with the world is a noble calling, and I’ve watched as my film has reached new people. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have my film play on their platform."
— Matthew K. Firpo, filmmaker
"99.media translated my documentary into 5 additional languages, ultimately helping the film reach a much wider audience, and become globally relevant. Films are made to be seen, and reaching an international audience like this is invaluable”.
— Lukas Schrank, filmmaker
“My short documentary was translated into 5 languages by 99.media, which helped it gain a lot more exposure and massively increased its global reach. I have a lot of respect for, and trust in the team, who has always dealt with me in a professional and honest fashion and who I believe has a real passion for short film and a lot of respect for filmmakers.”
— Andy Oxley, filmmaker
The Festival’s goal is to dive the audience into the Seventh art, for this reason it supports and spread the local and national films, screening the artwork in an intimate atmosphere, with the purpose of motivating the artists to produce films, involving them in the art and culture that makes Mexico and outstading country.
The Festival de Cine Comprometido de Guadalajara (FESCIGU) celebrates its 22nd edition this year, and it does so with a change of venue, since the Guadalajara City Council has decided to censor it and cancel the agreement. Therefore, starting this year the festival will take place in Azuqueca de Henares. Throughout these years, we have tried to bring our audience the best of the world of short films, with social, protest or simply humanist content. All genres fit, as long as violence is not advocated. The FESCIGU is a preselection festival for the Goya Awards.

Daupará is the capacity possessed by the Jaibanás (wise men of the Embera people) to envision, to see beyond: a capacity that in the Embera language means «daupará». The embera universe is made up of a higher level where Karagabí (god), the ancestors and essential beings live, another the world below where the jai live: spirits governed by Trutruika, and the embera earthly world. The jaibaná interacts and dialogues with the Jai and transmits their messages to the community to cure or guide actions through ritual ceremonies and songs.
For us, the word Daupará expresses the power of indigenous visions and their relationship with audiovisual work, with film and video. Daupará as a stage for exhibition and cultural exchange, is possible thanks to the multiple indigenous groups and filmmakers that make it up and constantly renew it.

FLIXX FEST takes place in 2-3 venues nestled in the scenic and historic Scott Valley among the majesty of the Marble Mountains. We are committed to bringing the best in independent filmmaking to an audience hungry for film, and showcasing films that especially capture some of the region's iconic values: landscape, authenticity, beauty, irreverence, the outdoors, vision, rebellion and independence, in whatever form that takes. We also highly encourage local and regional interest films and animation.
Typically we screen between 45-60 films including shorts, and have gladly welcomed the attendance of several filmmakers with close to 2000 Flixxfesters. This year will be the 6th anniversary of the festival so filmmakers can look forward to another amazing and sold-out weekend in September. Competition awards are typically presented on Saturday at a truly unique Awards dinner, with specialized programming continuing through Sunday.
