Promotional card of Mammoth Lakes Film Festival

We are the U.S. west coast premier destination festival for films such as fest favorites like Damsel starring Robert Pattinson and Mia Wasikowska, to world premiere new discoveries like Netflix favorite Abducted in Plain Sight and many more.

We are dedicated to discovering and supporting the next generation of filmmakers. There’s a reason MovieMaker magazine has named Mammoth Lakes Film Festival as one of the “Top 50 Film Festival’s Worth Your Entry Fee” for the last seven years in a row¬: We put our filmmakers first!

We focus on bringing top-level press and industry professionals to the festival to get maximum exposure for our filmmakers. Past attendees included Variety, Hollywood Reporter, The LA Times, A24, MovieMaker Magazine, and more.

The 9th annual Mammoth Lakes Film Festival will screen features and shorts for five days in the spectacular setting of Mammoth Lakes—California’s premier mountain resort, high in the Eastern Sierra. It will take place on Wednesday through Sunday, May. 22-26, 2024.

MLFF captures the imagination of audiences and contributes to the vitality of film culture by providing emerging filmmakers with an opportunity to show their latest work in a vibrant and nurturing atmosphere. Visitors are drawn to the area to experience exciting new films by both new and established independent artists, and for the opportunity to mingle with them at fun and friendly daily events. The festival is also a forum for filmmakers to have their work seen by industry professionals who have the potential to provide mentorship and propel their careers.

We are committed to promoting film as an art form by focusing on personal, innovative, imaginative films by writers and directors with a unique style and point of view. We present these films in the beautiful natural setting of Mammoth Lakes—a perfect backdrop for an independent film festival and a premier tourist destination in its own right. Because we are a destination resort, just a 4 to 5-hour drive or a quick flight from Los Angeles, we have strong allies within the entertainment industry. Our jury members are acclaimed artists and professionals from the world of independent film. We give out multiple awards in the categories of Narrative Features, Documentary Features, and Short Films. In 2022 we awarded cash and prizes valued at more than $44,000.00. Start of the festival: October 6, 2023 End of the festival: October 23, 2023

“La Axarquía Film Festival”, annual and unique in the Andalusian audiovisual scene, will take place in the region of La Axarquía, Málaga, Spain.

Its main objective is to bring cinema and its production closer to rural municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants in the Axarquía, promoting these territories as cultural tourist destinations.

There where the cinema does not reach, where the nearest theater is in a shopping center kilometers away and where people nostalgically remember the cinemas of yesteryear where neighbors and families gathered around the big screen, "La Axarquía Film Festival" wants to turn the streets, squares and churches of these towns into outdoor film festivals.

The Festival will have its Opening Gala in Almáchar, where the works that will compete in the different official sections and the programming and activities and workshops that will take place during the Festival will be announced. With an itinerant program in the municipalities hosting the Festival. The municipality where the Closing Gala will be held will be announced shortly, in which the works awarded by the juries of the different sections will be announced and the awards of the different sections of the Festival contest will be delivered.

The screenings will take place, as far as possible, in open-air public spaces. The idea is to recover the festive atmosphere of the festivals of the past, combining them with the magic of summer cinemas. Chairs, banners, bars outside the bars, red carpets around the squares. The Festival dresses the entire town in celebration to welcome all the residents in a unique and unrepeatable event.

"Axarquía Film Festival" seeks to consolidate itself as a showcase for new works and second works by new directors and directors from all over Spain and the region..

Ricreazione Soc.Coop.Soc.ONLUS in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Mentana, organizes the sixth edition of the historical audiovisual Festival "STORY IN SHORT".

The idea was born because our territory is rich in testimonies, from the pre-Roman era up to the Risorgimento: the enhancement of this heritage therefore also passes through a film festival that collects the works of authors who have ventured into an area that is not very 'frequented' such as reconstruction and historical analysis through short films, documentaries and audio-documentaries.

There are no content limits set for participation in the festival: all of History will be the subject of the works presented.

The jury will reserve the right to select the works to be screened in the event that the number of works presented exceeds the times and possibilities of programming.

All the selected works will be presented and the author will be able to tell his work to the audience in the room.
