We, as Global Indian Film Festival, have a fundamental belief that cinema is beautiful and storytelling is diversely serene. We are at the end of the second decade of the 21st century and we believe that its time that new age experimental story tellers and artists are given their rightfully deserved audience. Our aim through this festival is to reignite the love for cinema which has somewhere been blurred due to the commerce of the trade. After all, DADASAHEB PHALKE did not make the first Indian film, RAJA HARISHCHANDRA with the purpose of earning money. Passion is what drives us, and we are looking to meet and celebrate passion through the medium of cinema.

Welcoming talented film makers from India across the Globe to showcase their narratives, short films, feature films, documentaries, animation, of any genre, any length, any medium of shooting, to come forth and submit your films. If your work has merit and you have passion, we have a platform for you. This festival is a platform to provide an open environment for directors, writers, actors, technicians, film appreciation enthusiasts and anyone who has a zest for cinema. Let’s network and talk about cinema and also let’s vow to bring another new wave through our work.

We will provide a platform for the winning films, showcase it on national television for our channel, which reaches to 17 million viewers from across the country.

The PARALELO festival is a space for reflection generated from the meeting and synergy of different artistic manifestations that revolve around the theme of science fiction. Imagine different, utopian, parallel worlds. This genre opens the space of seeing us reflected in worlds that are not part of our reality but are inspired by it. It is loaded with idealism and magic, but also very crudely. From stories that pass outside the planet Earth, to a parallel universe in which technology dominates us. For us, Science Fiction leaves many doubts that we try to solve but ends up raising even more questions.
Cinema, literature and the performing arts are the means through which artists from different countries of the world communicate their concerns, concerns, and points of view about the contingencies that the human species has against technological development, explorations of imagined worlds, both possible and extraordinary.

The Fundación Orientación Ecológica (OE), the management foundation of the Ibero-American SURrealidades CINE AZUL festival, is calling for entries for its 8th edition inviting filmmakers, producers and directors to submit those audiovisual-fruits focused on respect for life and Mother Earth’s preservation. The 9th edition of the Festival will be held from 13th to 18th August 2020 in Bakatá-Kolombia.

The CINE AZUL FESTIVAL OF IBERO-AMERICAN CINEMA began as a showcase of environmentally themed films with a vision to advance public understanding of the environment through visual arts, challenging the way people think about nature, inspiring them to discuss and jointly explore different alternatives to become part of the solution on environmental issues.

SURrealidades has been concerned, actively involved and committed to preserving the environment as well as in the relationship between humans and nature.

We believe that the environmental preservation theme should be the central point of our thinking to address the world, development and sustainability’s issues from an ethical point of view, when producing visual arts.

After eight editions in (2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018) SURrealidades “CINE AZUL Festival” is now a consolidated biennial contest in Colombia breaking new ground in promoting the circulation, screen and production of the environmentally and human rights-themed Ibero-American audiovisual.

DOCSVALPARAÍSO 4th EDITION - ONLINE Edition

DocsValparaíso International Documentary Film Festival is part of the DocsBarcelona's 3 festivals network that takes place in the cities of Barcelona, Medellín and Valparaíso. The production and development of DocsValparaíso is leaded by the SurDocs team that produced a very important festival in the south of Chile (Puerto Varas) for more than 12 years.

The main goal of the Valparaíso festival is to become one of the leading documentary festivals of Latin America in a medium term by developing the areas of expertise of DocsBarcelona: industry and professional training.

The Festival takes place in the cultural capital and most dynamic city of Chile; Valparaíso.

During the festival there will be screened national and international films, workshops, laboratories, conferences and professional exchange. We will explore new ways and formats to develop documentaries through the InterDocs meeting, a professional event designed to understand, disseminate, create, finance and exhibit the interactive documentary.

Every edition of DocsValparaíso has the goal of becoming a portrait of society while entertaining, awakening and enriching the dialog through the audience, media, institutions and professionals. We want to make the experience of watching documentaries a tool for social empowerment and change.

Founded by longtime residents and movie veterans alike, the Sherman Oaks Film Festival looks to showcase the best undiscovered movies in the heart of Los Angeles. The neighborhood that was home the mall in Fast Times At Ridgemont High deserves a world class film festival!

TV Series + Podcast Interviews
Filmmakers who receive Grand Jury Prizes, as well as several Official Selections, receive interviews on the "Discover Indie Film" podcast with head programmer Jeff Howard. This allows filmmakers to talk about their work and their history more extensively than a festival Q&A allows. In 2019 the TV series "Discover Indie Film" premiered on Amazon Prime Video. This series is an anthology of short films selected from the filmmakers he has interviewed on the podcast.

The Sherman Oaks Film Festival is proud to announce the Hollywood professionals who comprise our Board:

Mike Flanagan: Director (Oculus, Hush, Before I Wake, Ouija 2)
Jonathan Stern: Producer (Children's Hospital, Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later)
Michael Lynn : Television Producer (True Hollywood Stories)
Jamie Ball : Television Executive (Disney Channel)
Zac Reeder : Entertainment Executive (Head of Domestic Distribution at Electric Entertainment)
Shannon Makhanian: Casting Director (The Brothers Bloom, Unknown, Mysterious Skin)

Patmos is one of the northernmost islands in the Dodecanese complex of the Aegean Sea, with a strong tradition of cultural activities. It is perhaps best known today as the location the disciple John received the visions found in the Book of Revelation of the New Testament and where the book was written.

The 1st Patmos Cinema Festival marks the reinvention of the local film festival under a community driven approach, in these difficult post coronavirus times.

There will be loose thematic categories:

* Gaia. A movie about our home
‡ Sea and Cinema. Sea as an obstacle, as a border, as a road or a bridge.
§ Topography of Emotions.
* Human Rights.

In general we will accept any film genre as long as it evolves around a strong narrative.

PCF films will be screened in various venues around the island. Main venue is the open air cinema at the Patmion Cultural Centre.

PCF activities (including the workshops) will take place throughout the year on the island.

PCF is the officially supported film festival by the municipality of Patmos.
