The Mediterranean Film Festival in Široki Brijeg is characteristic for a unique atmosphere – a mixture of relaxed fun, tourism, rhythm and films. Hence the Festival quickly became the favourite of film workers and audience. Those who once feel the scent of the Mediterranean in this little town of film, shall always return to it. In front of the hall where the projections are going on there is always an interesting atmosphere, and after the projections there is always fun and dancing to the rhythms of urban music till late hours. The Festival is the initiator of the new relations within the world of culture, there is no elitism in it, no VIP boxes, no privileges. Within the last ten years we have succeeded to create an atmosphere in which no one feels alienated, inferior or less invited to be a part of the event.
MFF is the oldest festival of documentary film in the region considering that only documentary films compete here and the largest part of the program is based on documentaries. This is one of the rare festivals that has money prizes for the winners of the festival and in that way helps them to create new film projects. The School of Film Culture with relevant lecturers is being organized within the very MFF. A short documentary film is created every year at the MFF workshop, which we screen at the closure of the festival.
Besides the film projections there are also other programs offered at MFF. First of all the touristic ones, where a new branch, unknown untill now in Hercegovina, is developed – the cultural tourism. Within the tourism part there are the tours visiting the most interesting sites in Hercegovina which might be used as the locations for films shooting. Visits to the most significant touristic potentials of Hercegovina (Međugorje and Mostar) are also organized. We meet the guests of the festival to the exceptional archaeological localities and introduce them with the potentials of ethno tourism. In cooperation with the Tourist Board we get our guests acquainted with the Hercegovinian gastronomy – an extraordinary cuisine that has preserved the ancient taste and has not subdued to the modern culinary novelties, and belongs to a very healthy nutrition.
Mediterranean Film Festival lasts for six days, and all our guests, never mind from which part of the Mediterranean they might come, shall wish to come back again here.

The Villamayor de Cine European Short Film Festival was born in 2008 in the charming village of Villamayor de Santiago, located in the province of Cuenca. Its main mission from the beginning has been to create a space where short films take center stage and young directors have a chance to shine.
Every August, the festival comes to life through the dedication of a team of over forty young professionals. Under the guidance of its founder, Javier Alonso, they work tirelessly to bring the best of European short cinema to Villamayor de Santiago.
Renowned Spanish actor Jesús Guzmán served as the festival’s Honorary President until his passing in 2023. In his memory, the award for Best Fiction Short Film now bears his name, keeping his legacy alive in the film world.
The festival is hosted by acclaimed actor and presenter Luis Mottola, whose professionalism and charisma add great value to the event. Mottola holds a special affection for Villamayor, and the town, in turn, holds him in high regard. @luismottola

Cine Curtas Lapa ist ein unabhängiges, gemeinnütziges Festival mit freiem Eintritt. We are a small nonprofit festival (free tickets for scifi audience) and we work with public libraries support (lectures, exhibitions...etc.) We have no corporate sponsorship. It is the people of the city, people who love horror (a lot of bakers, plumbers, teachers...etc) who fund us.

ReAnimania International Animation Film Festival of Jerewan wurde 2008 von Karikaturist, Maler und Animator Vrej Kassouny gegründet.
Armeniens Animationsgeschichte begann 70 Jahre zuvor mit der Veröffentlichung des ersten armenischen Films Lev Atamanov (geb. Levon Atamanyan) Der Hund und die Katze im Jahr 1938.
In dem Bemühen, das Handwerk sowohl im Geiste als auch im Namen zu ehren, hat das Festival seither die Kunst des animierten Filmemachens dem armenischen Publikum wieder eingeführt.
Das Festival umfasst eine Auswahl von mit Spannung erwarteten nicht-kommerziellen Features und Shorts mit 15 Turnier- und Nicht-Wettbewerbs-Programmen und ein Marktforum für Animationsprofis (MARANI). Das Festival bietet auch eine Reihe von praktischen Workshops, Seminaren, Meisterkursen und Vorträgen, die von einer Vielzahl globaler Talente der Branche präsentiert werden.
Das Festival ist zu einer Plattform für Entwicklung und Förderung auch über Armeniens Grenzen hinaus geworden. VIVA FESTIVAL is a permanent event in the field of culture and art, the founder and organizer is the VIVA Association from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the same time domestic and international competitive film festival artistic achievements in the field of documentary film and video (electronic).The festival is held in Sarajevo, once a year, takes a maximum of four days.
The Festival reserves the rights of final decision on the program in which the film will be shown.
Movies can be short and medium length feature.
Competition has four categories:
1. Religion (its themed films that promote the specifics of religion, in order to rapprochement, understanding and inter-religious tolerance);
2. Ecology (films that its theme promote the natural heritage of their countries in order to encourage the development of environmental awareness);

Mecal Pro, das Internationale Kurz- und Animationsfilmfestival von Barcelona, feiert seine 27. Ausgabe. Die lange Geschichte von MECAL PRO hat es zu einem der wichtigsten Kurzfilmfestivals in Europa und der Welt gemacht und wird daher von lokalen, nationalen und internationalen Institutionen unterstützt. Wir haben 2024 mehr als 300 Kurzfilme in 29 Sektionen gezeigt, die wir programmieren.

Discovery Film Festival: Schottlands Internationales Filmfestival für junges Publikum

Das Discovery Film Festival findet jetzt im neunzehnten Jahr statt. Das Festival, das bei Dundee Contemporary Arts ansässig ist und zu Partnerorten in ganz Schottland, Großbritannien und Irland reist, zeigt Filme aus der ganzen Welt, die speziell für junges Publikum programmiert wurden.
Das Festival umfasst drei aufregende Wochenenden mit Filmen, kreativen Aktivitäten und Gala-Events sowie zwei Wochen Vorführungen und Veranstaltungen für Schulen.
Discovery zielt darauf ab, ein neues Publikum für das Beste im internationalen Film zu entwickeln, die Medienkompetenz zu verbessern und jungen Zielgruppen einen Einblick in das Leben von Kindern und Jugendlichen in anderen Kulturen zu bieten. Das Festival läuft seit 2004, als es als Partnerschaft mit Dundee Education Development Department, Scottish Screen und DCA begonnen wurde.
Das Discovery Film Festival ist ein DCA-Projekt und wird von Mike Tait, Festivalproduzent und Cinema Youth Development Officer, organisiert. Ein Team von Young Ambassadors (15-19 Jahre) arbeitet mit Mike zusammen, um Filme zu programmieren und bei der Gesamtgestaltung des Festivals zu beraten. Ein Team von Lehrern und Bildungsberatern berät über das Bildungsprogramm und erstellt Curriculum for Excellence relevante Ressourcen für Klassen, die das Festival besuchen.
