6TH INTERNACIONAL CRAFT AUDIOVISUAL EXHIBITION

Barcelona, Spain

VI INTERNATIONAL AUDIOVISUAL EXHIBITION
CRAFTSMANSHIP.

The 6th International Craft Audiovisual Exhibition promoted by the Catalan Government through the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion (CCAM) is a meeting point for two fields: crafting and audiovisual.

It is created to generate synergies to promote the creation of quality audiovisuals, based on artisanal creative processes and where the focus is the artisans and their crafts.

The exhibition is the only one of its kind to be held in Catalonia and throughout Spain.

This year it reaches its sixth edition with the aim of showing the diversity and creative richness of the crafting world, through unique and contemporary stories from the artisanal crafts around the world.

In past editions we have seen projects showing the commitment to sustainability
and feminism, documenting the fusion between technological innovation and crafts or audiovisuals explaining the roots of crafting in the territory.

In a world where borders seem to multiply and human connections are often diluted, crafting is a space that unites people from different places and communities, showing that creativity and ability can transcend geographical limits and cultures.

In this 6th Exhibition we want to show crafting as a place without borders. No matter if it comes from a little town on the mountains or from a big city, artisanal craft will find its way to remind us of the importance of creativity,
community, and authenticity from every corner of the globe.
The pieces must be original and unpublished, and they will be presented at the SHow that will take place at the Disseny Hub Barcelona on the 23rd of November.

The films will then be available on the FILMIN cinema platform and the CCAM website.

This year the coordination and management will be taken care by BBIntervencions.

They will guide you and help you with any questions you might have during the process.

Welcome to the 6th International Craft Audiovisual Exhibition, welcome to the joy of crafting!

Obscura Filmfestival Berlin

International film festival of entertaining, fantastic and arthouse free genre films.

The Obscura Filmfest was founded by David Ghane in 2016 and has been run by him alone ever since. He is a passionate genre film fan since 1996, attends several film festivals per year since 2004, sometimes helps out there, acts as an extra in horror films and is an extreme film collector.

The Obscura Filmfest specialises in entertaining and fantastic B-movies, films that are rarely shown in cinemas. They show mostly big blockbusters or arthouse films that can be found at most other ordinary film festivals. Even comparable festivals are expanding their programmes to include more and more arthouse. Those who instead like entertaining, smaller and special independent films, but can also imagine bigger productions from far away countries, will find what they are looking for at the Obscura Filmfest: Films that are fun with rough edges, raw and uncompromising; from nasty little horror films to Asian battle epics, there is something for every fan, just no boredom.

It started with small, offbeat, trashy and depraved underground grindhouse films, meanwhile the Obscura also screens commercial, mid-sized films that are traded on the big film markets.

Highlights of the previous festival editions included the German premieres of the Argentinian fantasy sci fi cyberpunk action film "Daemonium", the Ukrainian thriller "Egregor", the Filipino zombie shocker "Day Zero", the Danish horror film "Finale", the ghost comedy "Deadtectives" and the two Backwoods films "What the Waters Left Behind" and its sequel "Scars" 5 years later.

The European premieres of the Indonesian comic superhero film "Valentine" and the Backwoods film "Drifter" were also screened.

Another highlight was the crazy Japanese splatterfest "Kodoku - Meatball Machine" which can look back on a long festival history including the biggest festivals of its kind, as well as the Universal/Blumhouse production "The Hunt".

With "Redbad" and "The Great Battle", two big battle epics were also screened at the Obscura.

The German premiere of the hard-hitting exploitation film "Trauma" in Hanover was even attended by visitors from the Ruhr area.
After its international premiere at the Obscura, the cowboy backwoods film "Lasso" was shown a few months later at the famous british Frightfest.

In 2022, the Obscura had its first two feature-length film world premieres with "All through the Hall" and "Hidden in the Woods II".

At each Obscura there were film guests who introduced their film in person and were available for a Q&A. They came from Ireland, UK, Belgium, Finland, Denmark, Spain, Greece, Hungary, USA, Argentina, Mexico and of course Germany.

PVTV Fringe Flicks

Liverpool, United Kingdom

People Versus TV (PVTV) invites filmmakers, video artists, and creators of all stripes to submit their films for Season 3 of our Fringe Flicks series!

We’re on the lookout for unconventional work that defies norms and embraces the subversive, absurd, and surreal. Whether you’re a seasoned filmmaker or just starting out, we want to see your bold and boundary-pushing creations.

What We’re Looking For

We’re passionate about work that’s:

- Weird, anarchic, and fun

- Absurdist, surreal, or experimental

- Satirical and subversive, especially satire that punches up

We encourage submissions from artists at any stage of their career, and we’re particularly interested in amplifying voices from underrepresented communities.

Why Submit to Fringe Flicks?

Fringe Flicks is not just a screening series—it’s a celebration of avant-garde, experimental, and boundary-pushing work in the moving image. By participating, your film will:

- Be showcased alongside like-minded creators in Liverpool, at the heart of the city’s creative and cultural Fabric District.

- Reach an audience eager for unique, challenging, and unconventional content.

- Have the chance to spark meaningful conversations with a vibrant and engaged community of cinephiles and creatives.

Event Details

Selected films will be shown at our Fringe Flicks Season 3 events, starting with 5th June 2025 at DoES Liverpool, with further events planned for August and October (dates to be confirmed).

Submissions are open now and close on 2nd April 2025. Notifications will be sent by 23rd April 2025.

All screenings are held at DoES Liverpool, 1st Floor, The Tapestry, 68-76 Kempston St, Liverpool, L3 8HL.

Event Structure

Each Fringe Flicks night is a curated mix of independent and experimental short films, divided into two halves with an intermission:

- First Half: A selection of shorter films showcasing creativity, experimentation, and storytelling.

- Second Half: A featured short film and longer works. If we select a feature film from this callout, it will be showcased in the second half.

The bar will remain open after the screenings, providing an excellent opportunity for filmmakers and audience members to connect, network, and share their thoughts.

What We Value

We’re focused on imagination and creativity over technical perfection, especially for shorter works. While longer works should exhibit high-quality storytelling, we’re less concerned with technical polish and more with the strength of your script, dialogue, and narrative.

Future Opportunities

If your work isn’t selected for one of our upcoming events, we may still consider it for future screenings. In that case, we’ll contact you first to confirm your interest.

How to Submit

Submissions are open exclusively on Festhome.

Submissions are open now and close on 2nd April 2025.

For questions, please email us at peopleversustv@gmail.com.

We can’t wait to see your work and celebrate the unconventional, the surreal, and the absurd with you!
