The Maryland International Kids FilmFest is an outgrowth of the children's programming at the annual Frederick Film Festival -The F3- held each year in June.
Since the beginning, the F3 has been dedicated to providing not only a unique film-going experience in the region by providing premiere films as well as films not likely to be screened in the area, but also providing children's programming on Saturday mornings.
This portion of the F3's programming was so popular that the festival organizers felt an entire festival of great film should not just be reserved for adults, but be provided for the younger set as well. Often, films and programs aimed at children seem...childish. Not challenging. Safe. And far too often, not entertaining. Especially those constructed to be long commericals in the guise of young people's programming.
The Maryland International Kids FilmFest is committed to bring high-quality, challenging, and, most importantly, ENTERTAINING movie programing...in the form of short films as well as feature length films...to the state. And we can pretty much guarantee that you'll not see any film with a fast-food restaurant tie-in product.
Other film events during the MIKFF will highlight the venue itself. The Weinberg Center for the Arts is an historic building and a jewel valued by the entire state and the festival is proud to have the opportunity to show movies in one of the grandest movie palaces in the area. The association Mente Acrobatica in partnership with CGIL Taranto organizes for June 2016 the 3rd edition of the International Festival of short films “Taranto in short”.
The festival is divided in FOUR sections:
• INTERNATIONAL (dedicated to short films from all world nations excluding Italy with the requirement of English or italian subtitles );
• NATIONAL (dedicated to short films from Italy);
• WORK AND WORKERS’ RIGHTS (dedicated to all short films from all world nations including Italy dealing with work and workers’ rights with the requirement of English or italian subtitles ).
• ANIMATION (dedicated to all animated short films for an audience of children aged between 8 and 13, from all world nations including Italy with the requirement of English or Italian subtitles).
Every director or producer can compete with each job to ONE section of the festival that
must be specified during the submission.

Sofia MENAR Film Festival macht bulgarisches Publikum mit der Kultur und Traditionen der islamischen Welt vertraut. Das Programm des Sofia MENAR Film Festivals präsentiert das Beste aus dem Nahen Osten und Nordafrika Kinoproduktionen, darunter Spielfilme, Dokumentationen und Kurzprojekte. Das Festival Inclús ist ein Festival für audiovisuelle Produktionen, sowohl dokumentarische als auch fiktionale, die sich mit dem Thema körperliche und geistige Behinderungen befassen. Es ist eine Initiative Associació Inclús und wird von Fish Muvi geleitet.
Ziel des Festival Inclús ist es, audiovisuelle Werke, die zum Thema Behinderung produziert wurden, aus einer anderen Perspektive sichtbar zu machen. Ziel ist es, einen möglichst umfassenden Einblick in die Realität von Behinderungen zu geben, unabhängig davon, ob die Produktion von Einrichtungen durchgeführt wird, die direkt mit Behinderungen zu tun haben, oder von anderen Personen oder Gruppen.
Wir sind auch ein inklusives Festival, weshalb wir zwei neue Sektionen haben: Inclus values, Kino für Kinder und Jugendliche über soziale Themen, und Kino in Singsprache, Filme in Gebärdensprache.
Das Festival findet vom 10. bis 16. Dezember 2025, kurz vor dem Internationalen Tag der Behinderung am 3. Dezember, statt. Das audiovisuelle Material der Finalisten wird an diesem Tag nach den verschiedenen Kategorien abgespielt. Die besten Beiträge werden ausgezeichnet. Inclús konzentriert sich auf audiovisuelle Produktionen, bietet aber auch andere künstlerische und kommerzielle Aktivitäten und Disziplinen an, um diesem Sektor Sichtbarkeit zu verleihen.
Seit 2013 bietet das Internationale Filmfestival für Menschenrechte in Kolumbien den Teilnehmern ein audiovisuelles, kulturelles und akademisches Programm, das zur Publikumsbildung, zur Stärkung der Film- und Kulturindustrie, zur Schaffung von Räumen für den Dialog über das Leben, zur Versöhnung, zur Förderung und Verteidigung der Menschenrechte und zur Entwicklung von Ideen für den Frieden beiträgt.
Das Festival ist der ideale Ort für die Filmgemeinschaft Kolumbiens und der Welt, die auf audiovisuelle Erzählung mit Schwerpunkt Menschenrechte setzt. Aus diesem Grund wird es zur Hauptplattform für die Förderung, Verbreitung, Verteilung und Ausstellung audiovisueller Werke, deren Nachfrage aufgrund ihres nichtkommerziellen Themas begrenzt ist.
Das Festival findet gleichzeitig in den Städten Barranquilla, Medellin, Cali, Bogota, Soacha, Cartagena, Manizales, Pereira und Villavicencio sowie in etwa 10 Gemeinden des Landes statt und wird von der Fundación Impulsos organisiert.
