The festival’s themes are the environment, ecology and sustainable development in a comprehensive sense. The festival accepts films that question the global place and impact of Man in and on his environment: biodiversity, environmental and human stakes, climate change, natural resources, science and research, evolution of borders, alternative energies, indigenous communities and issues, environmental health, urbanism, mobility, environmental activism, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and so forth.
L'AVANCA Film Festival si è aggiudicato il primo posto nel 2011 nel concorso dei festival cinematografici di supporto sponsorizzati da ICA/Ministero della Cultura.
In tutti questi anni si è svolta un'ulteriore programmazione tematica, che ha dato spazio alla proiezione di importanti opere del cinema contemporaneo adeguatamente inquadrate in preoccupazioni e/o obiettivi ben definiti.
L'AVANCA è noto come spazio per workshop condotti da personalità del cinema mondiale e, essendo più di una «master class», ha consentito una pratica cinematografica unica. Ogni anno organizziamo workshop che riuniscono partecipanti da tutta Europa. I media hanno scritto che questa è la più grande area europea di workshop professionali nel campo del cinema.
AVANCA è l'unico festival che riunisce un Concorso Cinematografico Internazionale, opere del settore televisivo, video e nuovi supporti multimediali, con una particolare attenzione a mostrare le migliori produzioni mondiali realizzate in ogni categoria.
Sin dalla prima edizione, il festival accetta solo film senza precedenti in Portogallo.
Il concorso World Premiere è unico nel nostro paese ed è stato possibile solo perché Avanca è diventato un punto di passaggio per autori e film inediti di grande qualità. I film che hanno la loro anteprima mondiale al festival, indipendentemente dalla categoria presentata, partecipano anche al Concorso World Premiere.

Dal 2010 organizziamo la conferenza cinematografica internazionale AVANCA | CINEMA, che è diventata la conferenza più importante nel campo del cinema nella penisola iberica. Questa conferenza riunisce relatori e partecipanti da tutto il mondo.

Il Mallorca International Film Festival giunge alla sua tredicesima edizione, con una chiara dichiarazione d'intenti: BRIDGING CULTURES — BRIDGING PEOPLE. Ciò si riflette nella narrazione del film, nelle location delle riprese o nel cast e nella troupe. L'idea è quella di proiettare film inclusivi, diversi e invitare il pubblico a sperimentare una varietà di lingue e culture.

The Sky Film Festival is a project for an Audiovisual Festival (cinema, television and advertising) organized by MultiSignes producer with all sides of sky, air and flight as a theme.
During the 24th - 26th of June Castelló d'Empúries-Empuriabrava will be filled with audiovisual screenings and side activities (conferences, fair, air sports exhibitions, children workshops...) with the themes of sky, air and flight as the central concept. In short, the intention is to create an international meeting point, both for specialists and those interested on these subjects.
Alt Empordà, and specially Castelló d'Empúries, are reference sites in the world of sky and aerial leisure and sports. Since the year 2012, Empuriabrava hosts the "Windoor real fly" wind tunnel, one of the biggest free fall simulators in Europe and the first that was installed in Spain. Also the Parachuting Centre SkyDive Empuriava, which has been operating since 1985.
The nature will be one of the festival's highlights, given that birds are the kings of the sky and the air, and hence the importance of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, a protected wetland zone for its rich ecosystem. We must not forget the tramuntana north wind, which creates a unique climate and is one of our country's distinguishing features.

Since 2001, the Nevada City Film Festival (NCFF) has brought top independent film, music and comedy, along with attracting thousands of attendees, international filmmakers, and industry guests to the historic Gold Rush era town of Nevada City, California. Nevada City is known for its sophisticated and supportive arts and cultural scene, and makes screening a film here a positive, encouraging and exciting experience.
NCFF is often referred to as the “Sundance of the Sierra” for its emphasis on fiercely independent cinema that showcases innovative, progressive and exciting new voices in film.
NCFF is known for recognizing and supporting new talent including filmmakers such as Jonathan Krisel (Portlandia), Patrick Brice (CREEP, The Overnight), Academy Award-Winning director Lucy Walker (Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom, The Crash Reel), Academy Award-nominated director and animator Daisy Jacobs (The Bigger Picture), director Kat Candler (Hellion), director Rick Alverson (Entertainment), animator and performance artist Miwa Matryek, director David Zellner (Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter), animator Galen Pehrson, and directors Mark and Jay Duplass, among others.
In previous years NCFF has hosted filmmakers such as Mike Mills, Miranda July, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim (Cartoon Networks Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!), and comedians including Tig Notaro, Mari Bamford, Nick Kroll, Natasha Leggero, and Marc Maron. Past NCFF judges have included award-winning producers and directors, plus writers from The Huffington Post, New York Times, McSweeneys, San Francisco Chronicle, Rolling Stone Magazine, and Pop-Up Magazine.
Professional, student, and amateur filmmakers are invited to submit short and feature length films including documentaries, animation, narrative, and comedy.
Literally Short is an event initiated by our drive to bridge all cultures onto one collaborative stage that stimulates international artistic expression. Our mission is to promote innovative approaches to social change through the arts and cultural influences. The Native Peoples International Film Festival is devoted to short and feature films, fiction, documentaries and animated films made by or about the native peoples around the world in order to promote knowledge, respect and acceptance diversity in raising awareness of the various facets of reality, trying not to fall into clichés. The International Film Festival Sansueña is devoted to short films and feature traditional ANIMATION, optical and digital toys disseminating quality films that hardly reach Spain. Thus, gradually the Festival is intended as a field.
Founded in 2000, The Valley Film Festival (VFF) is a non-profit project of Community Partners ® and is the first and longest continually running film festival in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley, headquartered in the NoHo Arts District.
Now in its 20th year, VFF supports local and international voices that advance storytelling, while furthering the education, production, and exhibition of film. In 2010, the City of Los Angeles recognized our cultural contributions with the city seal, and in 2018 the California State Senate stood with us #UnitedByFilm in our efforts to practice conscious programming to unite the international film community.

Il St Cloud Film Fest promuove film e registi creando opportunità per l'educazione, la produzione e l'apprezzamento durante un festival annuale e attraverso la sensibilizzazione di un anno.

Il St Cloud Film Fest si svolge per otto giorni in un teatro storico sulle rive del fiume Mississippi. La scena artistica del centro è un fulcro per la comunità artistica circostante. Molti artisti visivi locali hanno mostre in mostra lungo St. Germain Street e 5th Avenue.
Siamo un'organizzazione senza scopo di lucro dedicata alla promozione del cinema indipendente lungimirante e impegnata a dare agli studenti l'opportunità di creare i propri progetti. Teniamo workshop stop-motion per studenti elementari e diamo agli studenti delle scuole superiori e universitari la possibilità di fare un film nell'ambito di un concorso per il fine settimana.
La folla è appassionata e intelligente per il cinema. Ci piacerebbe avere la possibilità di mostrare il tuo film a un nuovo pubblico. Dall'azione live all'animazione, dal documentario alla sperimentazione, tutti i cineasti hanno un posto e una voce in questo festival cinematografico.
L'Asian Summer Film Festival vuole presentare la cultura asiatica attraverso la cinematografia popolare prodotta nei paesi del continente.
Il Festival ha diverse categorie come una sezione competitiva, retrospettive, proiezioni per bambini e serate a tema. L'anno scorso sono stati mostrati 40 titoli provenienti da Cina, Hong Kong, Tailandia, Corea del Sud, Giappone e India, alcuni dei quali erano anteprime mondiali e internazionali, anteprime europee o anteprime dei festival spagnoli. I 18 film programmati nella sezione ufficiale hanno gareggiato per il Premio della Giuria, il Lucky Cat Award, assegnato dal pubblico al miglior film in concorso, e il Critics' Choice Award.

After the screenings, audiences are invited to dialogue with leading urban thinkers about the issues raised during the movie and discuss current local projects.
