In A Minute Film Festival focuses on showcasing one minute films. We are located in a suburb of New York City (NYC), for easy access by all. All Genres are accepted, but the time limit is set. 1-minute. At the festival we nurture networking and audience encouragement of the hard work everyone has put in.
The In A Minute Film Festival was created to offer filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their ability to tell concise short stories in a 1-minute film, with the audience and support of fellow filmmakers.
The live screenings of the top films are concluded with a Q&A, so filmmakers can take pride in their work and meet like-minded filmmakers. We also will have an online edition with films, to be able to reach an international audience.

“ZERO cinema” is an artisanal and experimental artistic approach that contrasts the assembly line of industrial film production; it is hyper-independent, produced or auto-produced by single artists or small groups (less than 10 people) with no commercial interests; it is made with common and easily accessible, or innovative and low cost, means of production.
“ZERO cinema” has a different attitude, adventurous or poetic, DIY or punk, anarchic or self-sufficient, to the video work; it speaks with a personal, intimate, courageous and autonomous voice.
“ZERO cinema” is, more than any other thing, a strong idea of cinema and artistic production.
Making its second appearance at Whirled Cinema in London on Saturday November 11th (4-7pm), Noli Me Tangere is the festival for short films too experimental, too daring, too ‘amateur’ or simply too long for the mainstream circuit. Running an event every six months, we want to establish an independent network of our own that values cinema and creativity, outside of the corporatised events that have come to dominate the scene.
We are looking for short films that cannot exist within the framework of mainstream short film nights and festivals, for any of the reasons listed above.
We are currently looking to fill a roughly 2-hour long programme with a number of films; we want work in any length from 1 to 30 minutes.
The films will be screened before an invited audience of industry guests as well as the general public and fellow film-makers. The capacity for the venue is 60 people. Time permitting, you will be allowed a couple of minutes to introduce the work.
As this is a new event, we are not charging for submissions. All we ask is that you buy a ticket to attend (if possible!) if your film is accepted to help us cover the costs of booking the space and running the event and to contribute to future stagings.
From our next event we are running a social hang-out spot after the screening at the beautiful nearby bar CRAFT METROPOLIS, where like-minded filmmakers and fans can meet and form new fruitful friendships. The bar is only a 2 minute walk from the cinema.
If we’ve done our jobs right, people will know we are providing cutting edge cinema – but that won’t be the only reason they are coming. They are coming to be a part of something exciting, that stands for something.
We do not need DCPs or anything similar; all we ask is that you provide us a viewable copy of the film on whatever platform you choose or send us a copy via dropbox etc. If accepted, we will only require a clean, good quality MP4 or similar.

The MALDITO Videopoetry Festival is organising this competition with the aim of making visible two disciplines that, both together and separately, are much more distant and forgotten than we would like them to be. If experience tells us that both disciplines are minority and marginal in large European capitals, let alone the desert in which they find themselves in provincial capitals, where the circuit for their dissemination is practically nil.
We, as lovers of poetry, image and the expressive possibilities of their symbiosis, propose a line of action, encouraging the approach of the general public to the Festival and trying to make it grow from the first edition.
Our wish is that MALDITO reaches as many people as possible, with a growing presence and repercussion in the media and social networks.
MALDITO seeks to vindicate videopoetry as an art that connects people, that transmits feelings and promotes original or different ways of seeing the world, to try to be a grain of sand that makes any kind of visual or poetic art stop being marginal and cursed.(* The Spanish word for damned is MALDITO).
We expand sections by adding International Poetic Film Showcase.
VI NATIONAL RURAL FILM FESTIVAL OF AYACUCHO
The Rural Film Festival emerged in the city of Ayacucho in 2016 from an initiative presented by Mr. Emilio Quiroga to the Directorate of Culture to promote audiovisual production in our city.
Below, we list some of the central ideas, according to time and resources, that have been and will be developed within this space:
- General direction and coordination of the Rural Film Festival.
- Promotion and promotion of the movie theater and alternative projection spaces.
- Linkage and cooperation between rural and urban schools.
- Generation of socio-educational projects in schools, institutes and training centers.
- Provision of courses and training open to the community.
- Production of content and audiovisual resources for Municipal offices.
- Production of local short films that cover fiction and non-fiction stories, documentaries, on various topics.
Every year we launch an open call nationwide for fiction and non-fiction short films that cover Rural life from its form and/or content. Our intention is to get to know and enrich ourselves with productions from other places in our country.
The Festival provides training and support programs with theoretical and practical tools for audiovisual production to those who join this initiative. We refer to teachers and students from schools, institutions, neighborhood headquarters, organizations or groups who wish to participate.
This experience became a much larger phenomenon around the initially proposed Film Festival. We are motivated by the need to consolidate a space that seeks to generate identity, value culture, emphasis on human relationships and also commercial links that derive from this massive meeting that can be used to make goods, services and trades visible in pursuit of profit. mutual of the community.
Another important point is to strengthen the ties of our community with those people and groups that come to our city from both nearby towns and also from other cities and provinces of our country summoned by the social event that the Festival represents.
We will use the Festival as a construction tool committed to our social context and in accordance with sustainable production mechanisms considering current communication channels and technology. We will approach the audiovisual understood as an object to think about and in constant transformation.
It is necessary, from our intervention, to guarantee access to a symbolic language, essential to navigate the world around us and construct the images and sounds of our time, this being a necessary task for the development of society, the strengthening of democracy , equity and access to work.
