The Short Film Festival of Great ABC is a call to fostering, development and promotion of audiovisual production in the ABC Paulista, the Greater São Paulo area and capital. It is intended for beginners producers, students and local professionals to discover its diversity and identity, promoting a dialogue among residents of the region with other regions of São Paulo and throughout Brazil.
In addition it gives an opportunity for new talent to show and share their thoughts and ways of creating, resgatand the critical spirit in a region that was once the industrial center of national cinema.

Zagreb Green Fest is a pilot project from the Non governmental organization RIO – Zagreb, who, through cinema, education, expositions and activity programs dedicated to the ecology and environmental protection, encourages a culture of life with respect for nature.
The entry to the festival is free.
The festival program is divided into three sections:
- Green Genre
- Green Classroom
- Green Career.
The cinema portion of the festival, the “Green Genre” is divided into two segments: the competitive short film side and the “runway”, where everything is presented. The program has an international feeling, the festival participants would have the possibility to see various local films, European and international films with the subject of ecology, earth’s protection and other subjects linked with these themes. The objective here is to encourage university, primary and secondary school students to include themselves into the festival, alone or in a group. They can produce amateur films there, and can present them during the second part of the Green Genre.
The Green Classroom is an educational part of the festival, to enlighten people creatively with the help of experts.
The activities for the students are very important. They include workshops and conferences, as well as demonstrations. Next to the workshops, the festival participants could see shows for all ages.
The Green Career proposes a program full of shows, where various “green” products will be shown, as well as inventions and initiatives.
Green Career is a segment of the festival directed towards an ecological area, for students and professionals. Companies with important information’s will be present to aid students with what they need for a chance at a future job.
The ministries will also present their plans and programs, and the possibilities for the future graduates. Their participation will be taken into account by the faculties which will demonstrate their paths leading to the mentioned domains, and the individuals whose projects have been put in place.
There will be a free addition to the festival, where there will be free yoga classes, dance classes and meditation throughout the whole festival, as well as a presentation of bio food producers and art works depicting ecological subjects.

L'Obscura Filmfest è stato fondato da David Ghane nel 2016 e da allora è gestito solo da lui. È un appassionato di film di genere dal 1996, partecipa a diversi festival cinematografici all'anno dal 2004, a volte dà una mano, fa la comparsa nei film horror ed è un collezionista di film estremi.
L'Obscura Filmfest è specializzato in film di serie B divertenti e fantastici, film che raramente vengono proiettati nelle sale cinematografiche. Mostrano principalmente grandi successi o film d'autore che si possono trovare nella maggior parte degli altri festival cinematografici ordinari. Anche festival simili stanno ampliando i loro programmi per includere sempre più film d'autore. Chi invece preferisce film indipendenti divertenti, piccoli e speciali, ma sa anche immaginare produzioni più grandi provenienti da paesi lontani, troverà quello che cerca all'Obscura Filmfest: film divertenti, crudi e senza compromessi; dai piccoli film horror alle epopee asiatiche di combattimento, ce n'è per tutti i fan, ma niente noia.
È iniziato con film clandestini piccoli, insoliti, scadenti e depravati, mentre l'Obscura proietta anche film commerciali di medie dimensioni che vengono scambiati sui grandi mercati cinematografici.
I momenti salienti delle precedenti edizioni del festival includevano le anteprime tedesche del film d'azione fantasy fantascientifico cyberpunk argentino «Daemonium», il thriller ucraino «Egregor», lo zombie shocker filippino «Day Zero», il film horror danese «Finale», la commedia fantasma «Deadtectives» e i due film di Backwoods «What the Waters Left Behind» e il suo sequel «Scars» 5 anni dopo.
Sono state inoltre proiettate le anteprime europee del film indonesiano di supereroi comici «Valentine» e del film dei Backwoods «Drifter».
Un altro momento clou è stato il pazzesco splatterfest giapponese «Kodoku - Meatball Machine», che vanta una lunga storia di festival, inclusi i più grandi festival del suo genere, oltre alla produzione Universal/Blumhouse «The Hunt».
Oltre a «Redbad» e «The Great Battle», all'Obscura sono state proiettate anche due grandi epopee di battaglie.
Alla prima tedesca del duro film di sfruttamento «Trauma» ad Hannover hanno partecipato anche visitatori della regione della Ruhr.
Dopo la sua anteprima internazionale all'Obscura, il film sui cowboy backwoods «Lasso» è stato proiettato pochi mesi dopo al famoso Frightfest britannico.
Nel 2022, l'Obscura ha avuto le sue prime due anteprime mondiali di lungometraggi con «All through the Hall» e «Hidden in the Woods II».
Ad ogni Obscura filmfest c'erano ospiti cinematografici che presentavano il loro film di persona ed erano disponibili per un Q&A. Venivano da Irlanda, Regno Unito, Belgio, Finlandia, Danimarca, Spagna, Grecia, Ungheria, Paesi Bassi, Stati Uniti, Argentina, Messico, Colombia e ovviamente dalla Germania.

As such our festival is more geared towards films that may be called "art & experimental" but in the interest of not limiting our goals we also accept non-genre narrative films.
