El I Sirocortos Short Music Festival nace de la mano de la Sala Siroco y Cinema Oh! Culto y tiene como objetivo incentivar, difundir y promocionar aquellos cortometrajes en los que la MÚSICA sea una parte esencial de los mismos. Valorándose principalmente que la MÚSICA y las CANCIONES sean un elemento fundamental que ayude al desarrollo de la historia. También tendremos en cuenta los videoclips que desarrollen un hilo argumental.
La madrileña sala Siroco, con mas de 25 años dedicados a la música, acogió en 2014 las sesiones Cinema Oh!Culto, una propuesta que pretendía hacer de la proyección de un titulo más o menos maldito o ignoto del cine español una auténtica fiesta en la que la música también estuviera presente.
Dado que Cinema Oh!Culto gusta mucho del cine musical - de hecho casi todas las películas programadas han tenido un componente musical importante - y Siroco es un espacio fundamentalmente musical, cuando surgió la idea de convocar un concurso de cortometrajes, nos pareció que el género ideal para este proyecto que ponemos conjuntamente en marcha era EL MUSICAL.

(1) Entry fees for FEATURE FILMS (Duration: 50 mins to 105 mins max) : 5000/- INR or (63.23 USD)
(2) Entry fees for SHORT FILMS (Duration: 00.10 mins to 00.50 mins): 3,000/- INR or (36.27 USD)
(3) ANIMATION FILMS in all categories (Duration: 00.05 mins to 00.30 mins max).
(4) Entry fees for STUDENT FILMS: 1500/-INR or (21USD)
(LATE ENTRY FEES WILL BE DOUBLE THE ENTRY FEES MENTIONED ABOVE APPLICABLE TO FILMS SUBMITTED BEYOND THE DEADLINE ANNOUNCED)
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
1.Films without English Subtitles (except English Films), shall not be considered for selection.
2.Films submitted with watermarks or logos shall be rejected.
3.Only Trailers or promos cannot be submitted for selection process.
4.Film Download link with password is preferred, DVD or Bluray are also accepted as hard copies.
5.If submitting hard copies, Two full HD DVDs/Bluray should be sent by courier to the Festival office along with a hard copy of this entry form duly filled. DVDs must be labeled with film title, director name, duration, phone number and email id on them. Director pic, Poster, Film Stills may be attached in an email.
6. For submissions coming from outside India, the packages must be marked, “For Festival & Cultural Purpose only, No Commercial value”.
7. DIFF does not pay screening fees to film makers.
8. DIFF will not return the Films submitted online or vide DVDs/Pen Drives/ Blu-ray etc. during or after the festival.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. DIFF reserves the right to showcase the film so submitted perpetually anywhere ( other festivals, television, online etc).
2. DIFF reserves the right to include the film and related material in its promotional activities.
3. All Decisions made by the Appointed “Selection Committee” regarding Selections, screenings, awards at the Festival in entirety will be final. In case of Dispute, decision of the President is final.
4. The film makers and their representatives undertake to use the official logo and the status of their Selection or Award strictly in conformation with DIFF 2022 designs and they further undertake to use such festival logo in all their promotions, posters and marketing publications with the consent of the festival.
5. A film selected for the festival does not run in competition automatically. A Jury will select the films which feature in Competition.
6. The Festival shall not bear / reimburse any freight or other charges in foreign or Indian currency.
7. Once selected for screening, the film shall not be withdrawn.
8. The last date of submissions of ENTRIES IS 10.12.2024 and Date of Intimation of Selection will be 15.12.2024

PREMIO NACIONAL DE CORTOMETRAJES “JAIME OSORIO GÓMEZ”
La Comunidad de Viterbo Caldas, no ha sido lo suficientemente justa, o no se había tomado en serio la importancia que tiene para un municipio que uno de sus hijos tenga tanta repercusión en un oficio, o arte, y más aún en los niveles que lo logró hacer el señor JAIME OSORIO GÓMEZ, quien había nacido en Viterbo, Caldas, el 7 de marzo de 1947 y estudió derecho en la Universidad Autónoma de Colombia. En los años setenta empezó a realizar comerciales y a hacer documentales de corte político, tales como Chile no se rinde, carajo. Fue profesor en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y de la Escuela de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños en Cuba, además de representar a los productores colombianos en la Junta Directiva de Proimágenes en Movimiento. Dirigió los mediometrajes Derechos Reservados, Ceremonia del Benkuna y De vida o muerte, donde ya se insinuaban claramente los personajes de Confesión a Laura. En los años ochenta fue el productor de Nieve tropical, Los Embera y Mi Macondo y fue asistente de dirección y producción de dos películas de Lisandro Duque: Visa USA y Milagro en Roma.
En 1990 participó en el laboratorio de guiones del Sundance Institute dirigido por Robert Redford con el proyecto Confesión a Laura, que un año más tarde se convirtió en su ópera prima. En 1991 fue productor general de Nazca, serie para televisión Española, rodada en 21 países de Latinoamérica, además de hacer la dirección de producción del filme L`Enfant du Bont du Monde para la televisión francesa. Pero faltarían más cosas: fue el coproductor de La Virgen de los Sicarios, de Barbet Schroeder; Productor y actor de María llena eres de gracia de Joshua Marston y produjo también La Sombra del caminante de Ciro Guerra. Al momento de su muerte se encontraba colaborando en múltiple proyectos fílmicos en diversas etapas de producción, tales como Satanás, dirigido por Andi Baiz; Juego de niños, dirigido por Carlos César Arbeláez; El taxidermista, dirigido por Luis Alberto Restrepo; el proyecto Los colores de la montaña, también de Carlos César Arbeláez, y el largometraje La hora de los leones, escrito por él mismo y Jaime Escallón Buraglia. “Los que tuvimos el gusto de estrechar su mano, comprendemos el tamaño de la enorme pérdida que tuvo el cine colombiano con su partida” una de las personas que más ha contribuido a que nuestro cine llegue a las altas esferas; por todo lo anterior nos pusimos en la tarea de crear el “PREMIO NACIONAL DE CORTOMETRAJES JAIME OSORIO GÓMEZ”. En homenaje póstumo y merecido al mencionado en cuestión.
El Festival Internacional de Cine de Pasto (FICPA), que en octubre de 2025 conmemora su 21 edición, es un destacado evento competitivo que reúne lo mejor del cine nacional e internacional. Con categorías oficiales que abarcan una amplia gama de temas, desde los derechos humanos hasta el medio ambiente, pasando por la animación y el cine infantil, el FICPA ofrece una plataforma única para la diversidad y la expresión cinematográfica. Situado en la pintoresca ciudad de Pasto, Colombia, reconocida mundialmente por su emblemático Carnaval de Negros y Blancos, el festival no solo celebra el arte del cine, sino que también destaca la rica herencia cultural de la región. Como el evento más antiguo del suroccidente colombiano, el FICPA otorga el codiciado premio Sol de los Pastos, consolidándose como un imperdible en el calendario cultural tanto local como internacional.
El Festival Internacional de Cine Fine Arts se llevó a cabo por primera vez en 2010 en República Dominicana y en 2012 en Puerto Rico. Desde sus inicios, despuntó como favorito del público por la variedad cultural y la calidad de los títulos que se presentan. El objetivo principal de este Festival es presentar películas independientes que relatan historias reales o ficticias ocurridas en algún lugar del Universo y transportar el espectador a diferentes épocas y escenarios para reír, llorar y nutrir su intelecto.
El cine Fine Arts ha sido la casa donde los verdaderos cinéfilos han encontrado un espacio para disfrutar sus obras maestras de alta calidad durante todo el año y el éxito del Festival re-afirma el genuino interés del público en este tipo de contenido.
Anualmente en el Festival se presentan documentales, cortometrajes y películas que se dividen bajo Selección Oficial, Sección Informativa, Operas Primas, entre otras. Además, se invitan actores, directores y personalidades que participan de diferentes foros y actividades de interés cultural y cinematográfico. Algunos de los artistas y personalidades que nos han visitado en los pasados años son: Paco León, Pablo Trapero, Martina Gusmán, Johnny Pacheco, Marlon Moreno, Manolo Cardona, Frank Perozo, Marianela Sinisterra, Jorge Alberti, Jacobo Morales, Denise Quiñones y Mirta Ibarra, entre otros.
Las películas que componen la Selección Oficial participan de varios premios como: Premio del Público, Mejor Actor, Mejor Actriz, Mejor Película y Mejor Director. Para lograr una selección justa se escogen 5 miembros de Jurado compuesto por personas relacionadas con la industria del cine y con gran disposición para evaluar de manera objetiva y muy profesional cada una de estas películas.
La meta de cada año es superar el año anterior y continuar ofreciendo un espacio artístico donde predomine la variedad y la calidad en cada pieza que se exhiba
En Panamá y sus países aledaños, el cine se está rapidamente desarrollando como una industria de primera. Ya con frecuencia, las obras de está región están exhibiendo una madurez artística y apareciendo en festivales de primera planay recibiendo gran reconocimiento crítico. Esta festival, creado para iluminar la emergente industría cinematográfica en esta parte del mundo, no solo busca proveer una vitrina para nuevo talento en la sede dela industria cinematográfic que es Hollywood, sino tambien armar vínculos entre profesionales en ambos destinos a través de la colaboracion en este evento con entidades profesionales establecidas como New Filmmakers y la organización de productores Latinos, NALIP.
El festival internacional de cortometrajes Flor Azul se celebrará en el Centro Cultural 25 de Febrero (Caballito, Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina) el día 25 de septiembre de 2021.

SOFIA BIDT DOCS presenta una selección de documentales que abordan temas como los derechos humanos, los problemas ambientales, la discriminación, la falta de respeto por la diversidad, la integración de los grupos minoritarios, aparentemente sobreexplotados, pero en realidad temas de actualidad y polémicos de importancia clave para el sociedad, suscitando discusiones y argumentos. El festival se centra en todo tipo de personas curiosas y espielas, rodada en el cine documental. Se fija en historias, con el objetivo de informar, destinado a provocar, plantear preguntas, destinado a ser debatidas.
