Fundado en 2002, Yogyakarta, Festival Film Dokumenter (FFD) es el primer festival de cine documental en Indonesia y el sudeste asiático, centrándose en el desarrollo del cine documental como medio de expresión y ecosistema de conocimiento, a través de la exhibición, la educación y el archivo.
Al plantear la noción nacida en una conversación ligera entre un grupo de jóvenes, se buscó explorar el potencial crudo del cine indonesio: el medio documental. Ciertos rasgos diferencian el cine documental de otros productos audiovisuales, un lugar significativo como medio de comunicación que educa, reflexivo, trasciende el tiempo y el espacio.
En medio de la fuerte corriente de los medios de comunicación, el cine documental tiene su propio papel como medios independientes y aspiracionales.
En su celebración anual cada mes de diciembre, el Festival Film Dokumenter siempre trata de observar ciertas cuestiones sociales como centro de atención, así como de crear un puente entre los cineastas documentales, los cineastas profesionales y el público en general, con el fin de mejorar la calidad y la cantidad de Indonesia documentales.
The Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival is launching its 9th annual celebration of bringing strong, independent documentary films and filmmakers to West Sonoma County. Screening 71 films in 4 days during the 2015 festival, with over 90 filmmakers and guests in attendance, we had another incredible weekend of films and intense documentary discussion. 2016 is already shaping up to be another great festival. Our next festival will be held March 17-20, 2016. Twice named "One of the Coolest Film Festivals" by MovieMaker Magazine and chosen by the readers of the North Bay Bohemian as the Best Film Festival in Sonoma County for the third year in a row, we look forward to continuing to bring the best films, and their filmmakers, in the world to Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival. El Festival Internacional de Cine de San Pedro fue fundado para celebrar la diversa cultura y comunidad de San Pedro con un amplio espectro de cine independiente, documentales y cortometrajes. SPIFF se compromete a exhibir películas que encarnan un entretenimiento inspirador para todos. Obras que expresan voces frescas y diferentes perspectivas globales, con la intención de que estas películas iluminen al público al tiempo que proporcionan una exposición inestimable para los cineastas, locales e internacionales.
En nuestro primer año, tuvimos la primera proyección en Los Ángeles de Silver Linings Playbook. En nuestro segundo año albergamos a Ernie LaPointe, Gran Nieto de Toro Sentado. En 2015 celebramos el 20 aniversario de los sospechosos habituales con el director Bryan Singer. También tuvimos dos cortometrajes o bien ganar o ser nominados para un Premio de la Academia! En 2017 celebramos el 30 aniversario del viernes 13 con el director Sean S. Cunningham. Estamos muy emocionados por nuestro séptimo año!
El prolífico escritor y poeta estadounidense Charles Bukowski llamó a San Pedro su hogar durante 15 años. Algunos de los primeros cortometrajes de DW Griffith se rodaron en San Pedro. Hoy en día es más probable que encuentres equipos de cine para NCIS, Mad Men y Dexter. Otras películas rodadas en San Pedro incluyen 'King Kong', 'Chinatown', 'Point Break', 'El silencio de los corderos ', 'Los sospechosos usuales', 'Pearl Harbor', 'Titanic', '500 Days of Summer', y una tonelada más. SPIFF está encantado de presentar nuestra 5ª edición en una ciudad con una historia cinematográfica tan rica.
ABOUT FESTIVAL
Initiated by Istanbul University Faculty of Law - ‘The International Crime and Punishment Film Festival’ will be held between the dates of 16-22 October 2015 in Istanbul.
Festival aims to draw attention to the relationship between cinema and justice within an international organization and is considered to be unique as it will be held for the very first time in the world. During the Festival, approximately 100 films – amongst which are feature films, documentary and short films- will meet the audience.
The Festival will screen the latest movies of acclaimed film-makers as well as recent independent and examples from both Turkish and World Cinema. During the festival, panel discussions on cinema and justice, exhibitions, workshops and concerts will take place in addition to the movie screenings.
The Anima-Sao - International Animation Festival in São Gonçalo is produced by Studio Alexandre Martins.

Multivision Festival is an annual event in St.Petersburg, Russia, held at November. The festival includes competition in animation shorts and video installations evaluated by a professional jury.
The festival program explores the latest developments in international animation, its influence on other artistic practices, synthesis of animation art with other visual and performance arts.

Multivision Festival aims to create an innovative dialogue with its audience, to integrate animation art in the environment of the modern megapolis. Multivision is known by its open-air summer projects: the public screening of the special competition programs at the erected parts of drawbridges on the Neva River in the center of St.Petersburg, from 2007. The festival program is projected on the giant screen 400 square meters attached to the bridge surface. From 2011 a street cinema competition is a part of main festival, it is held in summer, in the framework of Multivision’s public art project graFFFest, on evident weather reasons. In 2013 it gathered more than 30 000 spectators.

Croydon International Film Festival is a small independent short film festival run by volunteers on the outskirts of London. We screen short 10 minute or less Documentary & Animated films with a factual theme, with a focus on quirky entertaining true stories.
The CIFF festival is run by Donna Lipowitz, an Independent Documentary Filmmaker, and a small team of volunteers. The Venue, The Studio Theatre at Matthews Yard in Croydon is a fantastic space to hold film screenings, amazing people, great bar and cafe attached as well. The focus for the festival is to make it an entertaining afternoon of films, The local audience in Croydon has embraced the festival over the past two years with a full house at every screening so far. Each year, our festival takes place in Paris during the springtime, which is not only a beautiful season but also an exciting time of year for ÉCU, because that is when we showcase roughly around 60 of the World’s very best independent films. Although ÉCU emphasises European talent, it also recognises the genius of international filmmakers with several categories allocated to non-European films.
The next ÉCU, the 21st edition, will take place on April, 2026 in Paris, France.
ÉCU isn’t just about screening an amazing slate of films over its three-day event in Paris. There are also professional workshops led by experts in the industry, Q&A’s held with the attending filmmakers after every screening session and a chance to network with fellow filmmakers, producers, agents, industry representatives, prospective film buyers and, of course, the cinema-loving public. At ÉCU, there is a dialogue focusing on celebrating but also critiquing the world’s best indie cinema of today.
Though ÉCU’s main event IS the three-day festival in Paris each spring, there is even more! Thanks to our 50+ partner festivals, partner organisations, film centres and film commissions, ÉCU goes on an annual world tour called ÉCU-On-The-Road. This gives award-winning films (as well as many of the Official Selection films) the opportunity for their films to reach a broader, global, international audience.
ÉCU-On-The-Road showcased films in over 80 countries around the globe in 2016 to 2025 at special ÉCU mini-festivals, partner festivals, cultural institutions and film schools, including an amazing seven day special festival in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was made possible through the support of Caixa Cultural, São Paulo and was a huge success. ÉCU also held special events in Berlin (Germany), Atami (Japan) and was part of festivals in Lebanon, Italy, Russia, USA, Romania, Austria, Denmark and other countries. This gives ÉCU filmmakers great exposure to audiences that they may never have reached otherwise.

El Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Torremolinos se ha convertido en pocos años en uno de los eventos más importantes de la Costa del Sol (España). Situado en el Centro de exposiciones y congresos de Torremolinos: teatros con capacidad de 240 y 460 personas. Organizado por la Asociación Cultural "Cinefans", el festival es ahora una referencia de innovación e ideas transgresoras. Se inicia en Halloween (con su propia noche de Halloween) e incluye galas, espectáculos, maratones de películas de terror, conferencias, sesiones benéficas, invitados de honor y películas para su aniversario.
