25 January 2011, the day when the Egyptian revolution was born, flowers have bloomed in Egypt's streets. The Egyptian revolution is not just a revolution, it's a symbol of resistance, a vibe that everyone still feel when we walk downtown Cairo, you see it on the walls, on the faces of people and hear it in the unspoken words.

SHORT FICTION 24th year in the midst of chaotic communication, but with videomakers with interesting and worthy ideas for an audience thirsty for alternative and beautiful reflections. "Island of dry land in the middle of the tides" wrote F. Battiato.
Meanwhile, the bureaucracy advances relentlessly for everyone, the desire to be protagonists in the audiovisual system does not abandon us. Now it's your turn to continue the challenge and demonstrate that we are alive as well as physically... we are intellectually and with our heads held high, we are waiting for you!

Action movies, despite being one of the most watched genres in the world, still does not have the respect it deserves, and has always been underestimated at the most important festivals and award ceremonies, which is why TACFEST born, we want to pay homage to the genre that has given us more action heroes to admire than any other.
TACFEST is organized by the ACCM (Cinema Association of Castilla La Mancha).
Welcome to SYS’s Six-Figure Film Festival and Screenplay Contest!
The Film Festival
This year we’re spearheading a new initiative to assure that all filmmakers get exceptional value from our festival…
100% of the films that get accepted will be screened in Los Angeles at the festival in October. If your film is NOT accepted, we will refund 100% of your submission fee, removing all risk from the filmmakers. If your film is not accepted you pay nothing, if it is accepted you get a screening in Los Angeles. It’s that simple.
From founder and filmmaker Ashley Scott Meyers: “As a filmmaker myself I’ve been incredibly disappointed with the film festival circuit lately. Most of the time I’ve sent money for submissions, gotten back a half-baked rejection letter or worse, been accepted to a festival but still didn’t get to screen my film. With SYS’s festival we aim to remove all financial risk from the filmmakers by only charging the films we accept and screening all the films in a high quality theater here in Los Angeles.”
All accepted feature films will receive 50 complimentary tickets to their screening. All short films will receive 10 complimentary tickets to their screening.
This festival is an IMDb qualifying festival.
The festival will take place October 6th - October 15th 2023 in Los Angeles.
We will be screening both shorts and features. We are looking for fiction, documentary, experimental, animation and all genres of filmmaking which can entertain, inspire and challenge us. But all entered films must have been produced for less than $1million USD ($1,000,000).
We’ll be giving out awards in all major categories. You do NOT have to pay multiple submission fees to be eligible in each category. Every accepted film will be eligible in every applicable category.
The Screenplay Contest
What’s this contest all about?
Do you have the next great low budget screenplay? SYS is trying to find great screenplays in any genre that could be produced for less than $1,000,000USD (one million). In other words, scripts that could be produced on six-figures or less.
Our goal with this screenplay contest is simple: find the best low budget screenplays on the planet and present them to the industry, which will hopefully lead to options, sales, and productions.
We’ve assembled a great group of seasoned writers, directors, and producers (see list on our website) to help judge the entries, as well as a great group of readers to handle the first round of reads.
How’s it going to work?
Each script submitted will be read by a minimum of two professional readers in the first round. The scripts that stand out in the first round will move into the second round (roughly 20% of all screenplays entered). The second round screenplays will be vetted further with more assessments from the SYS readers. The top scripts from the second round will be selected and moved into the quarter finals, where we will pitch those screenplays to the industry judges. Finally, after all the scripts have been graded by the judges, we will choose a winner and make the announcement in October 2023.
How will scripts be graded?
Each professional reader will fill out an SYS Script Assessment form for each screenplay that they read. The SYS script assessment is a quick way for the reader to grade the screenplay. Each screenplay will be graded based on seven key criteria: Ability to be produced for less than $1M, Concept, Characters, Structure, Marketability, Tone, and Craft. For a small additional charge ($10) you can receive the two assessments from the first round readers (and possibly a 3rd assessment from a second round reader).

The 34th Message to Man International Festival of documentary, short live-action, animated, and experimental films is scheduled to take place from 18 to 27 October 2024 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
With its history spanning three decades of cinema development, Message to Man was founded in 1989 in Leningrad by filmmaker Mikhail Litvyakov, who now serves as the Honorary President of the Festival.
In 2010, Alexei Uchitel, a renowned director of documentaries and feature films, assumed the role of the Festival's President.
Over the years, the Festival has hosted distinguished figures of world cinema, including Werner Herzog, Ulrich Seidl, Claude Lanzmann, Isabelle Huppert, Fanny Ardant, Agnès Varda, Mira Nair, Paolo Sorrentino, Alan Berliner, Eric Roberts, Jonathan Rosenbaum, Abdellatif Kechiche, Udo Kier, and many others.
The Festival programme revolves around three competitions: international, national, and experimental, providing a platform for both full-length and short films to vie for the Festival's Grand Prix. Message to Man consistently draws thousands of cinema enthusiasts to St. Petersburg each year.
In 2023, the Festival attracted over 10,000 spectators, and its competition and out-of-competition programmes featured around 200 films from across the globe.
“The Festival team was pleasantly surprised by the success of the last year's Message to Man. There is no need to state the obvious that we live in a challenging time, by all measures. Cinema has gained increased significance as a unifying language and as a way to reach out to one another.
We believe that was the reason why in 2023 the Festival attracted so many viewers. So, when people scrambled to get tickets for the screenings, it was, quite honestly, very heartwarming and important. This wasn't just about the sold-out tickets, but about solidarity.
It was equally important to bring together filmmakers from various countries: auteurs from Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Greece, India, Colombia, and Japan visited the Festival, emphasizing its global reach.
Therefore, the Message to Man Film Festival is pleased to announce a new competition in 2024. Our team firmly believes that good cinema is always an invitation to humanity,” says Mikhail Ratgauz, Programme Director of the Message to Man Film Festival.

Vintage Film Foundation Present
5th Vintage International Film Festival, 2023
Considering the historical and ancient background in the field of cinema from this cultural city like Kolhapur, the Vintage Film Foundation came into existence. New artists entering this field of cinema can get a huge platform through short films and documentaries, so these artists need exposure to the film industry through such platforms but looking for future perspectives they don’t get a proper platform to showcase their talent. This talent mustn’t be restricted to their local level, so we are providing them a chance to showcase it at the international level.
This historic city has given birth to many famous and prestigious artists like Baburao Painter, V. Shantaram, Master Vinayak, Master Vithhal, Bhalji Pendharkar, etc., who have great contributions in Marathi as well as World cinema, who are still rising and becoming successful. By looking forward to these artists as an idol, the upcoming youth of Kolhapur are chasing their dreams.
Here 5th Vintage International Film Festival gives them a chance to showcase their efforts at the international level to express their ideas, thoughts, and innovations in front of national and international artists and audiences.
Similarly, we have decided to organize a workshop to provide exposure and knowledge about minute details, and techniques of filmmaking to groom the new artist.
To promote audiovisual projects that encourage the understanding and transformation of reality.
To show films and videos that, from a social and liberating perspective, can upset the system, the empire, the elites.
To serve as a platform for committed filmmakers and video activists eager to change the world.
This festival is held in Vienna (Austria). In other countries (Mexico, Palestine, Rojava, India) we have partner organizations and collectives that will show the selected films.
The 3nd Garopaba International Environmental Film Festival aims to promote socio-environmental cinema in one of the most beautiful regions of Brazil.

The comprehensive curatorship will denote an equally comprehensive program, with specialists from the most diverse areas of knowledge to promote exchanges during the event and that translate into interventions in reality.
