The Aesthetica Short Film Festival is a BAFTA qualifying international film festival based in York, UK. ASFF is an important outlet for moving image and digital culture, creating a platform to champion film internationally. The festival holds talent development at its core and leaves a lasting legacy by inspiring innovation in film. Its eighth edition ran over a five day period, providing opportunities for talent development, networking and inspirational film viewing.
The 2019 festival will mark our 9th year of film screenings, masterclasses and guest programmes. As the festival grows and develops, we strive to bring more of the best cinema to audiences in York, accepting short, feature and VR works from the most innovative filmmakers from around the world.
ASFF is an important hub for industry professionals, offering the a meeting place that encourages collaboration and that promotes industry learning and development through masterclasses and networking. 2018 guests included Filmmaker Mark Cousins, Actor/Director Alice Lowe, Editor Mick Audsley, as well as representatives from Film4, StudioCanal, BFI Network, Spring Films, HOME, Industrial Light and Magic, Framestore, Pinewood Studios, Aardman Animation, British Vogue and BBC Writers Room, to name just a few.

Il Comune di Gravina di Catania e le associazioni Gravina Arte e No_Name ormai da sette anni cercano di promuovere il territorio attraverso la cultura. Una cultura che trova una sinergia particolare nel rapporto tra cinema e creatività. In un momento come quello di oggi, dove l’arte e soprattutto il cinema rischiano di essere sopraffatti dall’apatia generale, manifestazioni di questo tipo hanno il presupposto di convogliare le energie innovative in qualcosa di artistico e universale. Dopo le diverse iniziative degli anni passati che hanno visto protagonisti i cortometraggi nelle tematiche più particolari e diverse, nel 2015 nasce l’evento “Via dei Corti” - Festival Indipendente di Cinema Breve che oggi è giunto alla sua X edizione che avrà luogo a Gravina di Catania, presso l’Auditorium Angelo Musco dal 27 al 30 novembre 2025.

-> All films must have been made in or after 2012 and have English subtitles (unless English is the main language spoken); A creation date does not apply in case of the screen writings from being stopped for submissions, but the submitted must be in English or have a copy translated in English;
-> We accept shorts, documentaries, animations, experimental, music videos, web and new media, commercials (all specified previously under 45 minutes); feature films and feature documentaries (any length, 45 + minutes);
->A description between 50 and 150 words;

Ojo al Piojo! fa parte delle politiche pubbliche che la città di Rosario offre ai bambini, tutelando e garantendo il diritto di accesso ai beni culturali, in conformità con la Convenzione internazionale sui diritti dei bambini e degli adolescenti.
