Eine zweite Feier der Animation kommt nach Cardiff im April 2O2O.
Über vier Tage, vom 2.-5. April 2O2O, wird Cardiff Animation Festival (CAF) einige der besten Animationen aus der ganzen Welt präsentieren, mit einer breiten Auswahl an animierten Kurzfilmen, Features, Meisterklassen, Workshops, Filmemacher Q+As, Retrospektiven, einem Bildungsprogramm, hinter den Kulissen Screenings, Branchenveranstaltungen, Panels, Netzwerkveranstaltungen und Partys.
CAF wird im Chapter, dem pulsierenden Kunstzentrum der walisischen Hauptstadt, veranstaltet und ist ein zentraler Treffpunkt für Cardiffs florierende Animationsgemeinde und Treffpunkt für Industrie, unabhängige Animatoren und Enthusiasten aus der breiteren Animationswelt. CAF bietet in Wales eine Plattform für das Beste aus britischem und internationalem Animationsfilm und wird auch weiterhin unabhängige Filmemacher, spannende neue Talente und etablierte Branchengrössen in Europas jüngster Hauptstadt begrüßen.

The 28th edition of the European Short Film Festival of Bordeaux will take place from March 27th to 28th 2025. The projection nights will take place at the UGC Ciné-Cité cinema in Bordeaux.
GOALS
The European Short Film Festival of Bordeaux aims to promote the short film format to the Région Aquitaine's audience. It facilitates the access to cinema for a large public, from all ages. FEST — New Directors | New Films Festival ist eine umfassende Feier der neuen Tendenzen des Weltkinos. Die Veranstaltung konzentriert sich auf eine Präsentation der vielversprechendsten neuen Figuren und Werke aus der ganzen Welt, sowohl im Wettbewerb als auch in anderen Wettbewerben.
Die 21. Ausgabe des Festivals findet zwischen dem 24. Juni und dem 1. Juli 2024 in der Küstenstadt Espinho (Portugal) statt.
Die Auswahl ist in mehrere Kategorien unterteilt, darunter Spiel- und Kurzfilmwettbewerbe in den Formaten Fiktion, Dokumentarfilm, Animation, experimentelle Nicht-Erzählung sowie Inhalte, die für Kinder und Jugendliche geeignet sind. Die Veranstaltung umfasst auch Bereiche, bei denen es sich nicht um Wettbewerbe handelt, die von Retrospektiven bis hin zu Showcases reichen, bei denen es sich um Kurzfilme, Spielfilme oder Serien handeln kann.
WONACH SUCHEN WIR?
Wir akzeptieren Filme in den folgenden Formaten:
A) Spiel- und Sachfilme (Mindestlänge 55 Minuten) von Regisseuren, die an ihrem ersten oder zweiten abendfüllenden Projekt arbeiten, unabhängig vom Alter.
B) Fiktion-, Dokumentar-, Animations- und experimentelle Kurzfilme (bis zu 54 Minuten Dauer) von Regisseuren, die unabhängig vom Alter nicht mehr als zwei Spielfilme fertiggestellt haben.
C) Spielfilme, Dokumentar-, Animations- und Experimentalserien (bis zu 55 Minuten Dauer) von Regisseuren, die unabhängig vom Alter nicht mehr als zwei Spielfilme gedreht haben.
Die Kandidaten müssen eine der verfügbaren Einreichungskategorien wählen. Machen Sie sich keine Sorgen, wenn Ihr Film in verschiedene Kategorien fällt (z. B. Hybridproduktionen), da alle Einreichungen für die verschiedenen Wettbewerbe berücksichtigt werden. Wenn Ihr Film auch für den NEXXT-Wettbewerb (mit Schwerpunkt auf akademische Produktionen) in Frage kommt, Sie jedoch möchten, dass der Film für alle anderen Wettbewerbe berücksichtigt wird, geben Sie bitte im Kommentarbereich der Einreichung die akademische Institution an, an der der Film produziert wurde. Vinothraj „Pebbles“ und Eugen ausgewählt Jebeleanus „Poppy field“; und Valdimar Jóhannssons „Lamb“, all das auf der fiktiven Seite, dann auf der dokumentarischen Seite, Karima Saidis „A way Home“, Michał Edelmans „Last Knights Of The Right Side“, Franz Böhms „Dear Future Children“ unter vielen anderen.
Die Kurzfilm-Sektionen von FEST sind bekannt für ihre große Vielfalt an Stilen und filmischen Visionen und waren im Laufe der Jahre eine Plattform für die Vorstellung neuer Künstler wie Govinda Van Maele (Luxemburg), Christos Massalas (Griechenland), Mati Diop (Frankreich), Adriano Valerio (Italien), Patrick Vollrath (Deutschland), Ninja Thyberg (Schweden), Manuel Abramovich (Argentinien), Daria Belova (Russland), Simon Mésa Soto (Kolumbien), Aga Woszczynska (Polen), Jela Hasler (Schweiz) sowie Hunderte anderer aufstrebender Filmemacher.
FEST umfasst auch eine Reihe weiterer Aktivitäten, die parallel zum Festival stattfinden, insbesondere FEST — Training Ground (eines der größten Filmforen Europas) und FEST — Pitching Forum (Filmprojektwettbewerb) und andere.

VERANSTALTER
Der Kulturverein Time & Memory organisiert die dreizehnte Ausgabe des Kurzfilmfestivals „SHORT TO SOUTH“, das vom 21. bis 22. Juni 2025 in Polla (SA), ITALIEN, im Auditorium „Holy Nicolicchio“ stattfindet.
Das 14. Jahr wird Neuzugänge und Wettbewerbe beinhalten! Das International Horror Hotel Film Festival and Convention findet jedes Jahr im Juni im Nordosten von Ohio statt. Wir veranstalten offene Wettbewerbe für Filme und Drehbücher in den folgenden Genres: Experimental (nur Film), Fantasy, Horror, Horrorkomödie, Slasher, Science-Fiction und Suspense-Thriller. Wir akzeptieren auch Trailer, Musikvideos, TV-Piloten (Film oder Drehbuch) und Web-Episoden (Film oder Drehbuch) für Projekte in den aufgeführten Genres.
Der Wettbewerb für die Filmmusik für Horrorfilme ist ebenfalls möglich (Einreichungen über unsere Website). Bei der Veranstaltung veranstalten wir auch Live-Wettbewerbe wie Scream King/Scream Queen und FX Make-up.
In diesem Jahr werden wir auch den zweiten jährlichen Filmwettbewerb Room 237 veranstalten, bei dem Filmemacher darum konkurrieren, innerhalb von 30 Tagen einen Film zu drehen, wobei sie eine Mordwaffe einsetzen, die ihnen während eines Zoom-Auftakttreffens zugewiesen wurde. Weitere Informationen zum Room 237-Filmwettbewerb werden ab Januar 2024 auf der Website des Horror Hotel Film Festival verfügbar sein. Die erste Regel- alle Filme müssen mit Mobiltelefonen gedreht werden, und für die Wettbewerbs-Kategorie Direktor muss ein aktueller Student jeder Universität in Under Graduate oder Graduate Niveau sein und für die One Minute Kategorie Direktor muss ein aktueller Student der Klasse 1 sein - 12. WHY THIS FESTIVAL ?
This festival is to be focused on this type of films. You will have specific recognition for the documentary you made, in a festival dedicated to documentaries.
Why is this so important ? Because sometimes, documentaries are just another category in some film festivals. We think documentaries deserve more attention, and we want to contribute giving it to them.
WHAT WILL BE OUR SELECTION ?
We will only select and screen short documentaries, not over 15 or 20 minutes maximum. If you made a full feature documentary, we will not be able to select it yet, but maybe in the years to come.
We are seeking for original documentaries, that can explore the world for us, bring some issues and analysis to the table, whether you shot it with a DSLR or a top 4K+ camera.
We accept all themes and langage. If not english speaking we require english subtitles.
SCREENING
A selection of the winners will screen on 2018, May 4th, in Los Angeles. The award give away will take place at the same time, on the evening.

KloosterKino is the place to be for animated shorts in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Three times a year we show the best animated shorts from all over the world in a friendly setting. The screenings take place in a historic cloister, which dates back to 1909, and are not subject to admission.
KloosterKino shows work by young filmmakers, but also pays attention to classic animated film. Throughout the year we also work with other festivals and cultural organizations to arrange screenings of animated shorts.
But why animated shorts? Well, first of all, because we love them! But also because too few animated shorts are shown theatrically in the Netherlands. KloosterKino wants to show animation in all its diversity: from stop-motion to CGI, from narrative to abstract, homegrown and from far away. In doing so, we hope to aid in the diffusion of the artistic animated short.
We intend to be an alternative to the larger animation festivals by offering screenings which are both accessible and challenging. We stand for high quality animated film in welcoming surroundings. Our target audience is not just the animation aficionado, but also those who normally don’t watch animation, but are open to a surprising and stimulating program of films.

The Mediterranean Film Festival (MedFF) is an online festival that rewards every month the best for each category. Its objective is to promote independent films and emerging artists by making them competing with more established ones.
