The 27th edition of the European Short Film Festival of Bordeaux will take place from March 14th to 15th 2024. The projection nights will take place at the UGC Ciné-Cité cinema in Bordeaux.
GOALS
The European Short Film Festival of Bordeaux aims to promote the short film format to the Région Aquitaine's audience. It facilitates the access to cinema for a large public, from all ages. It also supports the discovery of talented directors coming from all over Europe.,It’s a way for the filmmakers to be appreciated by a jury, no matter if they are mere enthusiasts or professionals.

El FEST — New Directors | New Films Festival es una celebración integral de las nuevas tendencias del cine mundial. El evento se centra en una muestra competitiva y no competitiva de las nuevas figuras y obras más prometedoras de todo el mundo.
La vigésima edición del festival tendrá lugar entre el 24 de junio y el 1 de julio de 2024, en la ciudad costera de Espinho (Portugal).
La selección se divide en varias categorías que incluyen competiciones de largometrajes y cortometrajes en los formatos de ficción, documental, animación y experimental no narrativo, así como contenido adecuado para niños y adolescentes. El evento también incluye secciones no competitivas que van desde retrospectivas, exhibiciones nacionales y regionales, proyecciones en playas al aire libre y la exhibición de contenido transmedia y de realidad virtual, solo por nombrar algunas.
¿QUÉ ESTAMOS BUSCANDO?
Aceptamos películas en los siguientes formatos:
A) Largometrajes de ficción y no ficción (la duración mínima es de 55 minutos) de directores que estén realizando su primer o segundo largometraje, independientemente de su edad.
B) Cortometrajes de ficción, documentales, de animación y experimentales (de hasta 54 minutos de duración) de directores que no hayan completado más de dos largometrajes, independientemente de su edad.
Los candidatos deben elegir una de las categorías de inscripción disponibles. No se preocupe si su película se ajusta a diferentes categorías (es decir, producciones híbridas), ya que todas las inscripciones se considerarán para las diferentes competiciones. Si su película también es elegible para la competencia NEXXT (centrada en producciones académicas) pero desea que la película sea considerada para todas las demás competiciones, indique en la sección de comentarios de la inscripción la institución académica donde se produjo la película. La Asociación Cultural Time & Memory organiza la duodécima edición del Festival de Cortometrajes llamado «SHORT TO SOUTH», que se celebrará en Polla (SA), ITALIA, del 28 al 30 de junio de 2024 en el Auditorio «Holy Nicolicchio».
¡Ahora con nueva administración! ¡El 13º año incluirá nuevas incorporaciones y concursos! El Festival y Convención Internacional de Cine de Hoteles de Terror se celebra cada mes de junio en el noreste de Ohio. Tenemos concursos abiertos para películas y guiones de los siguientes géneros: experimental (solo película), fantasía, terror, comedia de terror, terror, terror, terror, terror, ciencia ficción y thriller de suspenso. WHY THIS FESTIVAL ?
This festival is to be focused on this type of films. You will have specific recognition for the documentary you made, in a festival dedicated to documentaries.
Why is this so important ? Because sometimes, documentaries are just another category in some film festivals. We think documentaries deserve more attention, and we want to contribute giving it to them.
WHAT WILL BE OUR SELECTION ?
We will only select and screen short documentaries, not over 15 or 20 minutes maximum. If you made a full feature documentary, we will not be able to select it yet, but maybe in the years to come.
We are seeking for original documentaries, that can explore the world for us, bring some issues and analysis to the table, whether you shot it with a DSLR or a top 4K+ camera.
We accept all themes and langage. If not english speaking we require english subtitles.
SCREENING
A selection of the winners will screen on 2018, May 4th, in Los Angeles. The award give away will take place at the same time, on the evening.

KloosterKino is the place to be for animated shorts in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Three times a year we show the best animated shorts from all over the world in a friendly setting. The screenings take place in a historic cloister, which dates back to 1909, and are not subject to admission.
KloosterKino shows work by young filmmakers, but also pays attention to classic animated film. Throughout the year we also work with other festivals and cultural organizations to arrange screenings of animated shorts.
But why animated shorts? Well, first of all, because we love them! But also because too few animated shorts are shown theatrically in the Netherlands. KloosterKino wants to show animation in all its diversity: from stop-motion to CGI, from narrative to abstract, homegrown and from far away. In doing so, we hope to aid in the diffusion of the artistic animated short.
We intend to be an alternative to the larger animation festivals by offering screenings which are both accessible and challenging. We stand for high quality animated film in welcoming surroundings. Our target audience is not just the animation aficionado, but also those who normally don’t watch animation, but are open to a surprising and stimulating program of films.
