Feature and documentary film, animation, video art and experimental film
The filmzeitkaufbeuren is an open author's film festival that is deliberately not limited to any particular genre, topic or format. Fiction and documentary films, cartoons and animated films, art and experimental films with a maximum length of 40 minutes are presented.
Established in 2008, the Allgäu Authors' Film Festival has established itself in Germany and beyond as a small, fine film festival with a top-class jury.
With contributions at a consistently high level, sometimes soberly intellectual, sometimes serious and serious, sometimes funny, provocative or weird, but always touching and profound, the team would like to stimulate the dialogue on socio-political influence through the medium of film.
FARO 1540 - Association for the Defense and Promotion of Environmental and Cultural Heritage of Faro, after the success of the last editions of FARCUME - International Short Films Festival of Faro, is organizing the 11th edition of this Festival to be held in the city of Faro from 20 to 22 of September, 2024.
This 14th edition of FARCUME intends to exhibit and promote works in the short films section of up to a maximum of 18 minutes in length, divided into three categories: Animation, Documentary and Fiction.
In this festival, all national and foreign citizens can participate, individually or in groups, simply by complying with the stipulations in the regulation, filling out a registration form and having sent their works to the organization by June 21, 2024, subject to pre-selection.
The main purpose of this Festival remains the same: publicize and launch new talents as well as promote near the public the excellent works that are done in this area but not always have the desired and deserved promotion.
In other words, FARCUME within an informal environment, good mood and relaxed atmosphere intents to reward and recognize the dedication, commitment, creativity and merit of directors, actors and technical teams that, with modest means, can develop works of great quality.
Given the principles and goals of "FARO 1540", which even has the status of NGO (Non Governmental Environmental Organization) the Festival will continue to have a strong environmental concern and sensitivity alerting participants not to present short movies claiming or encouraging disrespect for the environment, human rights inequality or animal abuse. It will be further developed an Environmental Management Plan specifically "designed" for this event to ensure optimization of the resources needed for the promotion and accomplishment of the event and management of generated wastes.
The 11th Annual Toyama International Film Festival will take place in June of 2024 in Toyama Prefecture. With such great success in previous years, we are excited to once again share the visions of filmmakers from all over the world with our local community in the countryside of Japan.
Submissions will be open until April 14th, 2024.

The Annual Toyama International Film Festival (TIFF) began in the rural prefecture of Toyama, Japan. Started by a few English teachers in the area, we hoped to reach people not just in Japan, but around the globe.
The first TIFF took place in a small room inside of a shopping center, where about 70 people watched the 10 films we had received. The following year was a tremendous success with over 100 submissions from different countries, quite a step from our first year. The event was held in the city of Toyama at a local independently-owned venue, Bodegas-Mambo with around 80-100 guests coming to view the films. Every year since, we hope to expand even further and provide an even larger venue for participants and the movie-going community in Japan.
Today, with over 1200 submissions each year from countries around the world, TIFF has become a highly-anticipated annual event and a staple of Toyama's international community.
Note: Due to time constraints, we cannot accept films that run over 10 minutes. However, any genre of short film will be considered for exhibition.

The idea of the Festival, born like all good ideas, in a garage ...
One cold night of August 2019, inside the Nazario´s Garage, three friends were chatting about what they could contribute to make the Tera Valley area attractive, which suffered a great depopulation. Since then, his enthusiasm and effort have turned into reality the idea that arose that night in that mysterious garage ...

What differentiates boyOHboy from commercial and community film festivals, is our concept of "Cinematographic Marathon" spread over the course of a full year, with a film festival at the end of the year (October 16-18, 2020).
Our initiative aims to educate youth, by going "on their ground", in high schools and colleges, to show them short films that challenge them on the importance of respecting each other, and accepting the fact that in society there are different ways of loving and approaching our sexual orientation.
The purpose of our October Film Festival, is to present to the audience, the films that have most touched the youth to whom we have shown them to during the year.
Unlike the already existing Paris LGBTQ Film festival, boyOHboy does not aspire to be a "discoverer of new films", meaning we do not care about the year of production, neither the fact that some films have already been invited to other LGBTQ festivals.
Niche events mainly attract an open-minded audience that is already won over to the cause. boyOHboy’s approach is different and complementary, since we do not address a community, and that all our revenues are distributed to the fight against gay bullying.
For three thousand years, the Jewish people have been scattered around the world. That is why Jewish cinema is created in many different countries, alongside with special festivals that select and showcase those films. The Jewish Film Festival® in Moscow became the first of its kind in Russia. It was founded in 2015 and has been held annually ever since.
What is the Jewish cinema, after all? It encompasses far more than films made by Jewish directors or films which star famous Jewish actors. The never-ending search for Jewish identity, assimilation of diasporas and philosophy of self-determination and separation of the Jewish people in a society, return to the past, glorification of national heroes and mourning of victims, challenges of today’s world and the problem of relevance and preservation of traditions - these and many other issues attract filmmakers of all countries and continents. By searching and selecting the best Jewish films during the course of the past year we have attempted to shape an answer to the question of what these rapidly changing ethnic-themed films really are. Moscow, a large metropolitan area, a place where many cultures and nationalities live side-by-side, is one of the world’s most fitting locations for a festival that represents a dialogue of national communities.
The MJFF holds screenings of the most important and resonant Jewish films of the latest years. At the centre of the Festival is the Feature Films Competition Program, which is complemented by screenings of documentary films, short films and documentary shorts (as part of either competition programs or special screenings), as well as by discussions with experts on different topics raised in films and critics who specialize in Jewish cinema.
