The Vall de Ribes Cinema Friends Association presents the 8th Gollut Festival.
The Gollut Festival is an exhibition of committed cinema, with a social and environmental theme that will present the works selected in the competition for six days. The Festival aims to show the aspects that concern society and that are not sufficiently disseminated in movie theaters, the media or the usual audiovisual distribution channels. It will show national or international cinematographic works that have as their theme socio-political, environmental awareness, or that show some form of activism in favor of human rights and the diversity of cultures.
Awards and qualifications
The sections to film competition are:
• Award for the best short film, documentary or fiction (duration less than 30 min.)
• Award for the best feature film, documentary or fiction (duration greater than 30 min.)
• Audience Award: The Audience Award will be chosen based on the audience's votes.
• Award for professional career in the field of cinema, communication or social work.
• Miquel Porter i Moix Award
Jury
The jury will be made up of professionals from the world of cinema and audiovisual, as well as representatives of civil society.
Awards
The awards will be delivered at the closing session of the Festival, with the corresponding publication on the website and social networks.
The jury will award prizes unanimously. The prizes consist of a Gollut statuette and it does not have an economic endowment, with the exception of the Miquel Porter i Moix Prize, awarded by cineclubistas of the Catalan Federation of Cineclubs for an amount of € 150 among all the works presented.
1. Participation
To all Producers, Directors and Distributors of any country who are holders of all the rights of the works with which they compete.
Films can be shot in any language and must necessarily be subtitled in Catalan or Spanish, as long as the audio language is not either of these languages. All subtitles, including those for the English version, must meet quality and non-machine translation standards. Otherwise they will be rejected.
2. Registration
Maximum presentation of 2 works per participant

• Title of the work presented
• Name and surname of the author, ID, Telephone, email
• Creation date of the submitted work
• Brief introduction
• Image / Poster representative of the work
• Download link (Google Drive. WeTransfer, Dropbox, etc)

3. Publication of the selected work
Once the works have been selected, the owners or representatives of the works must provide the necessary material for their dissemination at the festival: photos of the director and the film in high resolution, trailer in a digital file and work presented by hard disk or by download link. All this, before July 15, 2021.
The format of the works will be in DCP 2K (Flat or SCOPE) or in .MP4 format, 2K resolution, and H264 compression at 8MB / s or higher.

The receipt of the material will be confirmed and communicated to each participant by email.
4. Exhibition of the selected works
They will be screened to the public during the Gollut Festival.
Amics del Cinema de la Vall de Ribes will pay the authors or producers the following concepts of public screening rights:
€ 75 per short film, either documentary or fiction
€ 140 per feature film, either documentary or fiction
The organization reserves the right to permanently screen all selected works in full format within the framework of the Gollut Festival and its subsequent promotions. Thus, the authors expressly waive the rights of commercial exploitation in said special sessions that may be held in subsequent editions of the Gollut Festival itself. Previous communication with the authors, in the case of screenings outside the framework of the Gollut Festival, the organizing entity will pay the corresponding exhibition rights.
5. Works participating in the Festival
The people who present the works in this contest are responsible for any claims for the rights of third parties of the works presented.
The organization reserves the right to change the bases if circumstances require it.
Submitting a work to the Gollut Festival implies acceptance of all the points of the bases.
